"Still no word from Vision?", a projected hologram of Secretary Everett Ross spoke from inside the Avengers Compound to Rhodey, sitting at a table with council members that was projected into the room.

"Satellites lost him somewhere over Edinburg", Rhodey answered him from where he leant on a table across the room.

"On a stolen Quinjet! With five of the worlds most wanted criminals!", Ross stated angrily, his writing becoming harsher as he clenched his pen.

"You know they're only criminals because you've chosen to call them that, right, sir?", Rhodey argued, arms crossed, taking a step forward as he pointed his finger at Ross.

"My God, Rhodes", Ross scoffed in disbelief. "Your talent for horseshit rivals my own."

"If it weren't for those accords, Vision would've been right here", Rhodey gestured with his hands to the compound.

"I remember your signature on those papers, Colonel", Ross reminded, his hologram raising from the table with the other council members, standing right in front of Rhodey.

"That's right", Rhodey nodded at the reminder, not denying it. "And I'm pretty sure i paid for that", Rhodey stated, talking about his legs.

"You have second thoughts?", Ross questioned accusingly, glancing at his legs.

"Not anymore", Rhodey side smirked, a beeping sound sent wrong the room as the doors opened.

Revealing six figures walking into the room, Steve with Nat and Maggie beside him, Wanda and Sam holding up Vision behind them.

"Mr Secretary", Steve acknowledged with a slight nod, nothing but confidence in his stance.

"You got some nerve, I'll give you that", Ross snarled at the sight of them, the exact people he'd been searching for waltzing in like they hadn't dropped off the face of the Earth.

"You could use some of that right now", Nat raised a brow to his words.

"The worlds on fire. And you think all is forgiven?", he huffed out in a laugh, now standing before the three in the front.

"I'm not looking for forgiveness", Steve answered, looking straight at the projection of Ross with his face straight. "And I'm way past asking for permission. Earth just lost her best defender. So we're here to fight!"

He was talking about Tony! You could definitely imagine the uproar from people when they found out there was aliens attacking Earth and that one of their best and main defenders was suddenly gone in one of their spaceships.

"And if you wanna stand in our way....we'll fight you too", Steve walked closer toward the hologram, practically begging for Ross to deny him.

"Arrest them", Ross broke eye contact from Steve, now turning to Rhodey.
