After their short and sweet kiss, both Maggie and Steve pulled back with small awkward smiles, having enjoyed the kiss, but not quite knowing where to go from there.

Both deciding not to say anything on it as of yet, not wanting to ruin the small moment they'd just shared with questions.

Silently making their way out of the studio, walking side by side, Maggie's ballet shoes swinging in Steve's hands, their other hands brushing off each other as they made their way to the common room where Nat was holding her meeting.

Walking into the room they entered to see the hologram of Rhodey disappear as he disconnected from the call, hearing something hit a plate followed by some sniffles.

Turning the corner they were met with sight of Nat with her hands held up to her face as she shakily breathed trying to hold herself together, a sandwich sat on a plate in front of her with a bite taken out of it.

Doing his infamous lean, Steve leant against the shelf in the room, Maggie standing beside him as she frowned at her friends pain.

It was a rare occasion to see Nat down, the Russian usually covering up whenever she was sad, putting on a different cover and getting into somebody's else's skin instead of her own to hide away from the grief.

"You know, i'd offer to cook you dinner, but you seem pretty miserable already", Steve spoke up, joking on his bad cooking skills.

"You here to do your laundry?", Nat asked, dropping her hands from her face with a side smile as she looked to her friends.

"And to see a friend", Steve hummed, a small smile pulling on his face as well.

"Clearly, your friend is fine", Nat leant back, joining her hands together as she looked to him, her eyes then drifting to Maggie. "You're meant to be practicing", Nat reprimanded the woman, a joking tone in her voice.

"I interrupted that", Steve held a guilty smirk on his face, Nats eyes drifting between the two and then down to Maggie's ballet shoes in his hands, cocking a brow.

"I can see that", Nat had a knowing tone and smile, both of the ancient soldiers blushing red.

Fiddling with the ribbons on the ballet shoes, Steve spoke up. "You know, I saw a pod of whales when I was coming over the bridge."

"In the Hudson?", Nat acknowledged with a nod, letting him switch the subject.

"There's fewer ships...cleaner water", Steve listed with a smile.

"You know, if you're about to tell me to look on the bright side. Um....", Nat crossed her arms now as she spoke to him. "I'm about to hit you in the head with a peanut butter sandwich."

"Hmm", Steve hummed, pushing himself off of the shelf as he walked forwards. "Sorry, force of habit", he apologized.

Throwing his jacket and Maggie's ballet shoes down one end of the table, then tossing his keys down in the middle.

Pulling out a chair for the woman, Nat had a knowing smile on her face as she watched Steve push Maggie into the table, then pulling out his own.

Looking between the two with a slight smirk, the assassin was quick to hide it as she pushed her sandwich forward toward them, offering it up.

Neither touched it as they looked to the woman, the three friends sitting silent for a moment as they looked to each other.

"You know, I keep telling everybody they should move on...and grow", Steve was humored at his own words. "Some do", he nodded. "But not us", he spoke for the three of them.

"If I move on, who does this?", Nat tried to reason, not wanting to admit to her own selfish reasons of not moving on.

"Maybe it doesn't need to be done", Steve reasoned back.

Tearing up again, Nat shook her head as she looked to him. "I used to have nothing", she admitted, nodding. "And then I got this", she looked around the building. "This job. This family", she smiled to herself, glancing to Maggie. "And I was better because of it", she looked back to Steve. "And even though they're gone...I'm still trying to be better", she huffed out in a sad laugh.

"I think we all need to get a life", Steve said to the women, hoping to lighten the mood, Maggie chuckling at his words.

"You two first", Nat smiled to the two, before letting her smirk over take her face. "Though it seems like you both have."

Both Steve and Maggie went red after Nat said this, refusing to look at one another entirely after she'd said that.

A chiming then announced to the room as a hologram appeared before Nat, her swiping right on it, saving them from the awkward question Nat had put up in the air.

"Oh, hi, hi!", a voice then called over the speakers, the three turning to look at what had appeared. "Uh, is anyone home?"

They all looked to see a new hologram had popped up to show an angle from the cameras positioned at the front gate, the man, Scott, from the airport standing there waving to the camera.

"This is, uh, Scott Lang", the man yelled uncertain if they knew him. "We met a few years ago at the airport....in Germany?"

Nat sat up in her seat, Steve raising from his as Maggie turned her whole body to face the screen, all of them staring in shock and uncertainty.

"I was the guy that got really big. I had a mask on", Scott continued to yell, hoping there was someone on the other side watching. "You wouldn't recognize me."

"Is this an old message?", Steve asked the two ladies, not wanting to get his hopes up, having remembered seeing his face pop up for one of the many that had dusted away.

"Ant Man?", the video of Scott called. "I know you know that."

"It's the front gate", Maggie announced to Steve, standing from her seat, not taking her eyes off the live footage.

"I really need to talk to you guys", Scott begged.
