you been searching for peridot for a while now, a while ago you picked up her scent mixed in with gem tech so you assume she must be in some sort of vehicle relating to gem tech

after quite a while you come across her empty escape pod in a field, you sniff it a bit picking up her scent trail again before overhearing some commotion 

you quickly hide in the tall wheat as you see steven and the "cool" kids, you've only heard about them from gossip you overheard while trying to figure out where steven was the other night but everyone holds them in high regard, good to see steven making friends 

sour cream: "check it out"

steven: "what are you doing?!"

sour cream: ugh! 

he hurls the rock at the escape pod

sour cream: boom!

the cool kids approach the crater while steven tries to warn them

steven: Whoa, stop! Peridot might still be in there

buck: peri- what?

jenny: this biz is empty

buck laugh

buck: it looks so busted

steven warns them that they need to be careful as this means peridot is out there somewhere trying to hurt the earth

the cool kids then proceed to hurl more rocks at the escape pod saying things along the lines of "earth forever"

jenny then takes selfies with the other cool kids and steven eventually loosens up, they look like they are having fun, steven probably needed this, 

as the cool kids and steven have fun messing around with the escape pod jenny suggests steven should get inside of it 

steven after getting persuaded finally gets in and after a couple of photos activates the pod

steven wants to bring it back to the temple but the cool kids convince him, they've moved away so you can only make out tid bits something about him being his own mom 

how does that work?

steven jumps over a haystack and then the pod closes which makes you very concerned 

the pod levitates off the ground and begins shooting its entire arsenal everywhere the pod shoots a laser barrage and from the smoke comes the crystal gems

this is great, they can help the cool kids and steven but a problem quickly arises

Pearl: we'll save you humans 

pearl hurls her spear directly towards the middle of the pod

 goddamn it

you bolt out of hiding and take the spear in your back while shielding the pod

tentacles come out of my back and wrap the pod on my back so I can better protect it 

pearl: y/n?! why is he here and why is he guarding the pod?

garnet: put the pod down y/n, peridot is in there 

y/n: no! she isn't, steven is

this catches all of the gems off guard 

you take the pod from your back and crack it open like a egg causing steven to spill out 

Amethyst & Pearl: STEVEN?!

Pearl: you found peridots escape pod and didn't come to us immediately?! 

Amethyst: dude, we almost wrecked you 

Garnet: Steven this is very unacceptable. I'm very disappointed in you 

steven sighs 

steven: your right

using this time, you sneak away but hide in the corn field just to see what happens

the cool kids run up to gems and defend steven you can't hear much but hear one of them say just let him be a DJ?

huh...never knew steven wanted to be a DJ

then garnet unbans steven from tv

why was steven banned from tv? these guys are weird 

garnet turns to thank you, but you were already gone 

garnet: y/n left while we were distracted reprimanding steven

pearl: oh garnet what are we going to do, we have some sort of corrupted super predator that saved stevens life my spear would have went right into steven if y/n didn't take it to his back

Amethyst: in my books, he's a cool dude

Garnet: yes, but he is still a animal and a danger to have around gem or not 

Amethyst: there's also the fact he didn't shatter us 

Garnet: I think that's because of steven

Amethyst & Pearl: huh?

Garnet: I think that y/n used to be some sort of human before whatever happened, happened that's why he didn't wish to make steven a orphan

Amethyst: but steven doesn't only have us! He also has Greg!

Pearl lets out a deep sigh

Pearl: you do know y/n has never met Greg right?

amethyst: oh that would make sense

the gems leave with steven

you hoist yourself up in a tree and proceed to pull pearls spear from your back, breaking it in two before tossing it away 

y/n: I just need to find peridot, if I can do that, then we might stand a chance against these gems 

'because I already know they don't plan on having me just live on my own they think I'm corrupted'
