Finding Peridot/Keeping It Togeather

you had been following peridots trail for a while now eventually you found yourself at the entrance to a massive valley you would come to know later as the kindergarten 

the place was dead as if the life had been sucked out of the earth, in the valley itself were tons of humanoid holes and there were this weird machines with rocks in them

 you had to step over one on your way in you wandered through the kindergarten then you stumbled upon peridot messing with her log system as she came out of a underground elevator

peridot: log date 6-5-2

you stare curiously at her system

peridot: This is Peridot, updating status. Still stuck on this miserable planet... The fusion experiments are developing properly. A few have even emerged early-

she bumps into you and quickly turns around before falling back

peridot: wha- oh my stars 

she attempts to shriek but I cover her mouth

y/n: greetings, you must be peridot

peridot struggles in my grasp before my advanced ears hear steven humming to himself while approaching my direction, so I quickly jump up into a nearby hole barley fitting inside 

peridot stops struggling as she sees steven and in the distance the crystal gems 

you let go of her and she stays silent for a minute before quietly whispering

peridot: why did you help me?

y/n: because you are the enemy of my enemy 

peridot: so you are against those crystal clods too?

you nod your head 

peridot: well how about we give them a little scare then we can discuss more 

peridot slides down pretending to fiddle on her little log while I await in the shadows for the call 

stevens finds her and she pretends to be nervous 

peridot whispers

peridot: are the others with you

steven keeps silent before nodding his head rapidly 

peridot face palms 

peridot: of course

Garnet yells at peridot from afar

Garnet: PERIDOT!

Pearl: THERE SHE IS!

the crystal gems charge fourth, peridot fake gasps and runs away purposely into a corner

Amethyst: nowhere to go 

Pearl: your cornered

Peridot: that's where your wrong you clods 

peridot whistles 

Peridot: feast your eyes on my secret weapon 

you burst fourth from the cliffside wall covering yourself in dust so only your red eyes can be seen glaring at the gems as you stand in front of them with peridot behind you 

steven: woah thats so cool! 

steven says with stars in his eyes

Pearl: what is that thing?!

Garnet: it doesn't matter 

garnet fires her gauntlets at us only for me to put peridot on my back as I climb up the side of the valley 

steven: awe I can't do that!

Pearl: neither can they!

pearl chucks her spear at us missing completely 

peridot looks down and grins

Peridot: hah! you missed

pearls spear hits the leg of a injector hanging barely in the side of the wall this causes it to begin rapidly fall down on us 

peridot shrieks and lowers her head as I tear through the injector completely and escape with her on my back 

peridot mocks as we continue our escape

 Peridot: You Crystal Clods! *flees again* Go ahead! Wreck this place! See if I care, I already got what I needed!

Amethyst and Pearl attempt to give chase but your too fast and ultimately retreat 

you and peridot arrive at a clearing in the woods 

peridot hops off my back

Peridot: now I suppose introductions are in order, I am peridot, a home world gem

Y/n: I am Y/n, a creature of earth

Peridot: really? your from here? well I suppose it would make sense as to why I never heard of you before 

peridot: so is there more than one of you, are you like a species 

y/n: yeah there use to be tons of other creatures like me though we all use to be a lot more primitive 

peridot: and is your species extinct?

y/n: pretty much, even if there are others still around technically speaking I've evolved so I'm not even like them anymore if they are still around

peridot: how so?

y/n: well for starters, there are a lot less intelligent like the intelligence of a bear, secondly they look a lot more human, a bit shorter, humanoid skull, meanwhile I swapped mine out for a cow skull that can support a horn like a rhino and they only have two arms

Peridot: wait, wait, wait, your telling me, you can just swap out features to add to yourself, how?!

y/n: I took the bones and other body parts of animals into my sleeping sack which is like a amber sack where it dulls pain and suspends my body in a sort of animated state where I can operate on myself

(that probably makes no sense but I like adding science elements to my fiction ok leave me alone!)

Peridot: and what do you mean you originally looked more human

y/n: well originally I just looked like a tall human with long claws and teeth with my current skin tone and same number of eyes 

peridot: interesting, anyways get some rest tomorrow we have to send out a beacon for help 

y/n: wait why?

peridot: because the planet is going to be destroyed soon!

y/n: what?!

peridot: by the cluster 

y/n: what's the cluster? 

peridot: its a giant weapon, so our only choice is to get off this planet 

y/n: alright tomorrow we get off the earth

you lay down and begin sleeping much like a giant dog much to peridots amusement
