steven and peridot had just got back up to the surface and were celebrating
Steven hears the nearby warp pad activating, and sees the Crystal Gems and you returning, with Garnet carrying an unconscious Lapis in her arms. Steven and Peridot then run over to them.
Steven: Guys! You're back! I-is Lapis okay?
Y/n: she'll be fine, though she might be a little scared when she wakes up
Pearl: You look happy! Uh, did you destroy the Cluster?
Steven: No, I talked to it
Pearl: what?
Steven: It doesn't wanna destroy the Earth. It just wants company. And it's got it now. It's like a bajillion people! They'll have lots of time to get to know each other, now that they're in a bubble.
Pearl: How on Earth did you bubble that whole thing?!
Steven: We had a little help.
Y/n: not gonna question it

Steven and Peridot share their underground experience with the the Cluster with Garnet, Pearl, You, and Amethyst outside the barn
Peridot: It was so intense down there! We were already a few layers into the Earth's crust, WHEN SUDDENLY -- WA-PAMO! KA POWIE! All these gross Cluster limbs started clawing at the drill. So, I whipped out the old Photon Blaster and, "PEW PEW P-CHOW CHOW! Take that, Cluster!". And Steven was all, "My feelings!", and then up and passes out on me! Then everything started glowing and... well, yeah, wait.
you chuckle at peridots colorful retelling
Peridot clears her throat
Peridot: I'm sure Steven can fill you in on the rest since he's the one who saved us. You should've seen it, right Steven? Tell 'em what happened in there!
Steven, gazing at the barn, does not respond.
Peridot: Steven?
Steven: Hold on a sec. I'll be right back.
Steven walks to the barn to check on Lapis Lazuli, who is lying on a bed made of hay. Garnet and You then walk up to him.
Garnet: I see you're worried about your friend.
Y/n: it is understandable, since she was fused with this jasper at the bottom of the ocean for months
Steven: Yeah. When I saw her in my dreams, it looked like she was fighting so hard to keep Malachite from escaping.
Garnet: Lapis spent an unbearable amount of time fused with Jasper. The emotional and physical strain of that type of fusion; I can't imagine. She's gonna need a lot of time to recover.
You nod your head in agreement with garnet
Steven sighs
Steven: You're right.
Y/n: Come on, I'm dying to hear more about what happened underground.
Garnet: me too
Steven chuckles
