One year to the day, when the universe made you cross paths with him.

Jeon Jungkook.

"When's your exam's date fixed?", Jungkook asked while he was getting his suitcase ready.

"Second of March.", You replied looking down.

"Too bad I won't be here to congratulate you but hey I can message you. Give me your number.", He demanded.

You were flustered on his sudden demand. Anyways, you grabbed a pen and wrote your number on his palm as he didn't had a phone yet.

"Thanks, I'll message you when I reach Incheon and buy myself a handphone." , He warmly said.

"Sir, what if I fail? You won't be able to congratulate me then and this will all go in vain.", You murmured.

"Stop being absurd! You're going to pass with good grades. I know.", He exclaimed.

"Well, let's see.", You followed Jungkook to the gate of the University of Seoul where your mom was putting Jungkook's luggage inside the boot space of her SUV.

"Get in, both of you. Train is in twenty minutes.", Your mom said.

You sat beside your mom's driver seat and Jungkook sat on the backseat.

~~~
Few minutes later...
"Thank you so much Ma'am, for always being kind to me.", Jungkook kept bowing to your mother.
"Aww, it's fine dear. You're like our family.", Your mother winked at you much to your surprise.
You widened your eyes.
"I'll get going then.", Jungkook bowed and left inside the station with his luggage.
You watched him making his steps away from you. In no time he vanished from your sight. You had so much to say to him.
"Platform number two.", You shifted your sight to your mother.
"What?", you asked her.
"You gotta something to say to him, don't you?", Your mother grinned. "Go before he leaves, idiot."
You ruffled your hairs awkwardly and rushed inside the station, your eyes continuously looking for him. You saw a crowd approaching you, nevertheless you ran into the crowd, shoving each person aside while continuously looking for him. When you came to the exact platform, you saw a train passing by you.
"He's gone.", You thought and closed your eyes as you breathed heavily for air.
"Elsie?", You turned back and saw him standing before you, with a nonplus look.
He slowly approached you.
"What are you doing here?", He asked in astonishment.
"I-I thought you left." You were panting.
"My train is arriving, after the train which just passed.", Jungkook said.
"You didn't answered me, why are you here?", He asked again being confused.
"I had something to tell you."
"Sure, go ahead."
"I-well-let's just meet soon.", You sighed and let out a weird laugh.
"Oh, I thought you would say something else but never mind, let's meet soon, Elsie. Don't forget to take care of yourself and keep the hard work on.", He said smiling.
You heard a train's siren.
"I guess it's my train.", Jungkook said.
The siren got louder.
"I'll get going now, bye Elsie. Take care.", Jungkook said in a little louder voice. He then grabbed his bags and started to walk away from you. Once again.
But he turned suddenly and said.
"Work hard and make your every dream become reality." You saw Jungkook smile at you adorably. "Remember that I trust you, Elsie." He then flipped his face and made his steps away from you.
The siren got more louder and the train passed.
"I'll miss you..." You murmured. "I'LL MISS YOU SIR! A LOT.", You shouted those words that you were hiding all the way, loudly.
But Jungkook's back didn't showed any movement. Maybe, he didn't heard you.
You saw him getting inside the train's compartment. You wanted to see him one last time too but your legs were frozen, as they stood at the same position without any movement.
You heard the siren. The train started to leave the platform slowly while you stood there standing still, watching it leave.
A tear dropped from your eye. Soon,
The train left
and with it
Jungkook left too...
But his last words were popping into your mind back and forth.
I trust you, Elsie.
I trust you, Elsie.
I trust you, Elsie.
And then you trusted yourself more than anyone did.
