Landon's POV
Leah Davis. She was beyond gorgeous. Her long, shiny, blonde hair. Her beautiful blue eyes. The way she smiles could brighten up my day, any day. She could be the perfect girl for me.
Today is Monday. I get up take a long, warm shower and put on my nice black pants and pretty, dress shirt. Thats how you dress when you work at a law firm. It's not the comfiest of outfits, but I do get girls swooning over me when I dress like this so thats a big plus.
Usually, I skip breakfast and just make myself a cup of coffee, but I was feeling great today so I made some oatmeal. Stella taught me how to cook while I was growing up. She figured I would need the skills when I'm on my own and guess what? She was right.
Leah was coming in today and I'm going to be happy to see her again. She hasn't called me and I have no way to get in touch with her.
"Good morning, Landon. You're father is waiting for you in his office." The secretary told me.
I knocked on his door and I heard him saying 'Come in.'
He was sitting down behind his desk, with his glasses on, signing papers.
"Hey, son."
"What's up. Did you need me for something?" I asked, sitting down.
"Yea, we're just waiting on one more person." He put his pen down.
Someone knocked on the door and I stood up to go open it. It was Leah.
"Hey stranger." I said to her.
She seemed surprised to see me here. I let her in and she shook my father's hand.
"Please tell me my son did not sleep with you already." Dad asked, scratching his head.
She giggled. "No sir, we met on Saturday."
"Dad?! We bumped into each other at a restaurant and went on from there." I explained.
I sat down next to Leah and couldn't stop myself from staring at her legs. She caught me staring and playfully slapped my knee.
"So, Miss Davis. I heard you went to Harvard Law School. That's very impressive." My dad clasped his hands together on his desk.
"Well you heard right, sir. I graduated last year and I've been wanting to work here at this firm for a long time. I've heard so many positive things on how great the lawyers are here and this law firm is so well respected." I stared intensely at her and watched her mouth as she spoke.
"Our law firm is one of the greatest and we have the best attorneys here. And I am proud to say that we have won over 89% of our cases."
"I'm ready to start today. Just tell me what I need to do." She rested her hands on her lap.
"Well, since you and my son seem to get along great, you two will work on the next case. Landon, I expect you to show her how we do things here and also, give her a tour of the building."
"Thank you Mr. Johnson for this opportunity. I won't let you down, I promise." She grinned and I followed her out of his office.
"So this whole floor belongs to my dad and Mr. Coleman. He owns half the firm with my dad." She followed me towards Mr. Coleman's office.
"Landon!" I turned around to who called my name.
"Jarett. Leah, this is my best friend Jarett Coleman. His dad is Mr. Jack Coleman."
"Hi, Leah Davis. I just started working here today." She shook his hand and he smiled at me, wickedly.
"Leah, nice to finally meet you. Landon here has been talking about you non-stop." He jerked his chin towards me.
I let out a small laugh. "He's overreacting."
"Anyways, I'm going to introduce her to your dad." I added.
"I'll see you guys later. Don't mix business with pleasure!" He said, walking towards the elevator.
"Sorry for that." I nervously smiled.
We walked into Mr. Coleman's office and he was expecting us.
"Landon, how are you doing?" He stood up from his chair and gave me a pat on the back.
"Great. I just want you to meet someone."
"New girlfriend?" He raised his eyebrow.
Leah chuckled. "No sir. I just started working here today. I'm Leah Davis."
"Oh, sorry. You're a pretty lady and Landon likes pretty ladies, so I figuered- anyway nice to have you here, Miss Davis."
I hurried Leah out of there before Mr. Coleman told Leah about my past girlfriends. Not that there were a lot.
"You were quite the player, weren't you?" Leah laughed.
We headed to the elevator and arrived to the floor below.
"Sorry about that. So, how about I show you our office."
"Our office?" She questioned.
"Since we're gonna be working together." I opened the door to my office, now ours.
It was pretty big, but not as big as my father's. It had a two desks with chairs. Both dark wood. A medium-sized sofa, along with a table that I use to eat my lunch on. Also an incredible view.
"This view is amazing." Leah was astonished.
"Do you see that building over there?" I pointed to it. Her gaze followed.
"The top floor is where I live. Just wanted you to know." I smirked at her.
"Well, do you see that building over there. I live on the top floor. In case you wanted to know."
We both laughed and we sat down to get started on this case.
"Do you want to go out to dinner tomorrow?" I blurted.
I was not scared to ask women out. I'm very straight forward and if I want something, I'll do anything to get it. I want Leah and I'll do anything to have her.
"You're very brave to ask me out." She licked her lips.
"I'm not afraid to go after something I want." I stood in front of her, getting closer.
"What time?" She crossed her arms.
"8. I'll pick you up, since I know where you live."
Starring into her blue eyes could make me get lost. Her smile makes me weak. Having her close to me could make me explode inside.
