Landon's POV

I've never been this happy before. Leah is the one I want to wake up to every morning and fall asleep with every night. She's the one I want to come home with from work everyday and spend every second together. I want her to be the mother of my kids. Leah is the person I want to be with for the rest of my life. She's the one I want to marry.

We've been together for ten months now and I'm going to ask Leah to marry me. I've never been so sure in my life.

The first thing I did was talk to Leah's dad. He was ecstatic. He has never seen his daughter this happy and wants the best for his only daughter.

I then talked it over with my dad and he was a hundred percent supportive. He said I could not have picked anyone better than Leah.

After I talked with my dad, I paid a visit to my mother. The white roses I left last week were still looking beautiful.

"I had a feeling you were waiting for me to give you the good news." I said.

I was on my knees and starred at her picture that was on the tomb stone. "Well it's true. I'm going to ask Leah to marry me. If it's okay with you, mom, I would like to propose to her with your ring."

I pulled out a small velvet box that contained my mother's ring. "Dad agreed, but I wanted your approval as well."

A small bird sat on the tomb stone and chirped. "I knew you would agree. I promise I will take good care of it." I smiled.

"Mom, I know you can hear me and I want to say how much I love you, even though I never met you. I grew up loving you through the stories Dad told me and the pictures of you all over the house." I rubbed my wet eyes.

"I'm sure you would have loved Leah. There are no words to describe what a wonderful person she is. I'm starting to think you purposely set me and Leah up. If you did, then thank you so much because she's the best thing that has ever happened to me."

I sniffed. "I have to go. Leah is waiting for me."

I stood up. "I'll bring Leah so she can meet you. And in the future I'll bring grandchildren for you to meet as well." I chuckled.

"I love you, mom."

Leah was sitting down admiring the center piece at our table. She didn't notice me. I stopped for a second and stared at her. Everyone else was blurred except her. I was sure of this. She's the one I want to be with for the rest of my life.

I walked to the table and greeted her. "Sorry for making you wait, babe."

"It's fine. I just waited for a minute or two." She smiled.

I reserved a table on the rooftop of a restaurant where there were Chinese lanterns lighting up and the sun was setting. She loved eating outdoors and I figured this was the perfect place to ask her to marry me.

"This is so beautiful, Landon. Thanks for bringing me here." She grabbed both my hands.

"I love you." I smiled.

We were halfway through our food and I was thinking of ways to ask her. I spaced out because I heard her yell my name.

"Don't scream my name out in public." I smirked.

"Are you alright?" She rubbed my knuckle.

"Yea, yea I'm fine." I picked up my napkin and wiped my mouth.

"Are you done?" I asked.

"Yea, you ready to go?" She was grabbing her purse.

"No!"
