Leah's POV
Monday mornings equal Monday traffic jam. Although I'm in a relationship with Landon, that doesn't mean I can take advantage of the position I'm in. I can't arrive whenever I want to. I want to be on time for my job that I love.
I stepped into the elevator and a woman joined me just before it shut. A beautiful woman. She took a deep breath and turned towards me.
"Hi, I'm Celine Vanderbilt." She shook my hand with a grin on her face, showing off her pearly whites. Her eyes were like the color of the ocean.
She had beautiful brown hair that was curled down her back. She looked so professional with her outfit and briefcase in hand.
"Leah Davis. Nice to meet you. Are you here for an appointment?"
The elevator opened and we stepped out.
"I'm here to meet with the attorney that's on the Jefferson's case. I'm the prosecutor." She explained.
Landon is handling that case right now. He wanted me to help him, but I declined because that was his case and I didn't want to interfere.
"I'll go get him and you can meet him in the conference room. Follow me this way, please." I guided her towards the room where we have meetings.
"Thank you." She smiled and set her things down.
I closed the door and went to my office.
"Good Morning, beautiful." Landon greeted me when I entered with a quick peck on the lips.
I sat down in my chair and started my computer.
"The prosecutor for the Jefferson's case is here." I told Landon.
"Already? He wasn't suppose to be here for another hour." He glanced at his watch.
"Well she is here. She's waiting for you in the conference room."
"What's wrong? You have that bitch face that you always get mad at me for pointing out."
I gave him the death stare.
"Okay, I'm out. I love you." He exited my office and I took a deep breath.
Landon and Celine are going to be spending a lot of time together and it kind of bugs me. She's gorgeous and single, I'm assuming.
Landon hasn't been back and it has been 4 hours. These meetings only last for up to 2 hours.
I opened my office door and peeked my head outside. The usual noise of phones ringing and people walking down the hallways filled my ears.
I walked over by the conference room and put my ear against the door.
"Oh my god you are so funny!" I heard Celine giggle.
I grew frustrated and knocked on the door. I opened it instead and saw her sitting very close to Landon.
"Hey, whats up?" Landon said.
