Leah's POV

Why is there a loud knock at my door at 2 two in the morning? I was kind of scared.

"Nicholas? What the hell are you-"

"Leah, come with me. We need to get you out of here fast." He was whispering. More men appeared from behind him.

"What's going on?" I was even more scared than before. Now I can see that he had on his FBI bulletproof vest, the hard hat and the matching black cargo pants. Plus he had a huge gun in his hand.

"I'll tell you when I get you out of here safely. Now put some shoes on and lets go."

He was serious.

"I have the last civilian. We're coming down." He said through his radio.

"Colby, Bret, and Jay. Clear the stairs. We'll be right behind you."

I felt like I was in a movie.

"Leah stay right behind me and be quiet." He whispered and I stood behind him quickly.

The three guys opened the doors to the stairs and quickly went inside. We followed behind them.

I heard gun shots. "Go, go, go!"

Nicholas grabbed my hand and we ran for the exit. We got out.

"Leah, are you hurt?" He grabbed my hands.

"I'm fine." I said, trying to catch my breath.

"Go with the medic. He'll just do a checkup."

I nodded and the medic guided me towards the ambulance. I sat down and he gave me an oxygen mask to breathe through.

"Is she okay?" Nicholas asked the medic.

"She just needs to relax, other than that she's fine."

"Thank you." I said to the medic.

"Thank you, Nicholas. Now are you going to tell me what happened?"

"There was a hostage in the building. We got the bad guy and thankfully, the hostage was not hurt." He took his hard hat off.

"Leah!"

I turned my head around and Landon was walking towards me.

His arms went around me. "Thank God you're okay."

He kissed my forehead and I wrapped my arms around him tightly.

Landon looked at Nicholas and I could hear him thanking Nicholas.

"If something would have happened to yo-"

"Nothing happened. I love you okay?" I kissed him.

"I love you, Leah. So much."

Landon took me back to his place until the building I lived in was clear of danger.

"How'd you sleep?" Landon and I were lying in bed, staring into each others eyes.

"Good. Thank you for holding me for every second last night. I appreciate it." I smiled at him.

"You're welcome, blondie." He moved a piece of my hair out of my face.

"You left clothes here last time. I had them washed so you can use them for work today."

"Thanks, babe." I smiled.

"I'll start you a nice, warm bath and make you breakfast. Does that sound good?" He said.

"That sounds wonderful, but it would be even better if you joined me." I touched his bicep.
