Leah's POV
I met Nicholas, who was 26, back in Boston while I went to Harvard. I was 25 at the time and had just broken up with my ex-boyfriend.
My friends from Harvard didn't want me being depressed all the time and stuck in my dorm room, so they took me out one night.
It was about six of us sitting down around a table that had shots of vodka, tequila, you name it. I was on my 7th shot when I came across Nicholas. He was dancing and somehow we ended up dancing together, in a sexual way.
I was obviously drunk and so was he. Me more than him, I think.
I blacked out somewhere through the night and ended up in bed with Nicholas.
Even though we were drunk, we knew exactly what we were doing. I have to admit that I did enjoy every moment during that night with Nicholas.
We woke up the next day, naked, in each others arms. We both were horny that morning and went another few rounds.
Nicholas and I dated for a about a year and fell in love. We ended our relationship when he got a job offer in Florida.
He promised me he would try and make our relationship work, but I couldn't take it anymore. I ended it with him and haven't seen or spoken to him ever since.
Now here he is in New York City, three years later.
"Nicholas is just an old friend. Almost like my brother." I lied to Landon.
I didn't want to tell him the real story because I didn't want him to be even more upset than he is now.
"Why did Nina come all this way just to tell you that. She could have called and not interrupt us." He said.
"Maybe she was close by. Who knows." I lied again.
I told the whole story to Nina even though she has never met him.
He looked at his watch and then back at me. "I have to go."
"Are you upset again? I promise I'll make it up to you." I pecked his lips.
"Later, blondie." He said and left my house.

It's finally Friday! My first week of work hasn't been so bad. Landon and I try to control ourselves around each other and act like professionals.
At times he'll sneak a kiss or two while we're working in our office, but other than that, we're doing great.
In other news, Nicholas has been calling me non-stop the last couple of days. I don't even know how he got my new number. He has sent me countless message and emails saying he wants to meet up and talk.
I haven't answered any of his calls or messages. I don't want anything to do with him. I have Landon now and I really really like him.
He's so sweet and kind. He respects me and my father. His nice gestures towards me and plus he's the most handsome, sexiest, hottest man alive, in my opinion.
I walked in my office and a man was sitting on one of the chairs. I squinted my eyes and then widened them when I saw who it was.
"Nicholas? What are you doing here?" Before I closed the door, I checked if Landon was nearby.
"Good to see you too, Leah." He stood up and faced me.
"How did you know I work here?" I stood away from him as far as possible.
"Being with the FBI has it's perks." He smirked.
So he went from homicide to FBI. What a hell of an upgrade.
"Please leave. I don't want to see you." I said.
"I'll leave, but on one condition. We have to talk." His jaw tightened.
"What is there to talk about?"
"So much, sweetheart. I know you still love me." He started walking towards me.
"I did love you. Now I'm with some-
Landon!"Landon appeared at the door. I was panicking at first, but rushed over to his side.
"What's going on? Whose this?" Landon put his hand around my waist.
Nicholas saw how close Landon and I were so I think he figured out that we were together.
"Babe, this i-is um N-Nicholas."
Nicholas chuckled. "Nicholas Wolfe. Nice to meet you."
"Landon Johnson. You're Leah's old friend right?" He pointed his index finger at him.
"I guess you can say that. I'll get going and leave you two alone. Nice to meet you, Landon." Nicholas and Landon shook hands.
"He seems like a nice guy." Landon said after Nicholas left.
"You have no idea."
"Where did you two meet?" He asked, sitting at his desk.
"In Boston, but you don't want to hear the story. Why don't we do something better." I sat on his lap and started kissing him.
"This is so unlike you, babe." He rubbed my thigh up and down.
He was right. I'm trying to distract him so he can stop asking me questions about Nicholas.
I got off his lap and went to my desk. I saw a message on the screen that was from Nicholas. I opened it, curious to see what it said.
'I see you haven't told your little boyfriend about us. Meet with me or I'll tell him everything.'
Great. Fuck my life.
Fridays are suppose to be good days. School is out, everyone is partying, having a good time, but my Friday keeps getting worse.
After an agonizing day of work, I said good bye to Landon and went to meet up with Nicholas.
Nicholas sent me the address of where he wanted to meet up. I showed up to the spot and it was a bar.
I stepped inside and spotted Nicholas in his black suit. He waved to me with an evil smile on his face.
I sat on the stool next to him. "Good to see you again, sweetheart."
"I only agreed to this so you wouldn't tell Landon and don't call me that." I stated.
"Well he is going to have to find out sooner or later. I figured later will be a good time to tell him."
"You're not telling him anything. I'll tell him myself on my own time." I whispered harshly at him.
"Geez, you were never like this when we were together." He drank his beer.
"Tell me what you need to tell me, quickly. I have better things to do."
"I want you back." He said.
"It's a little late for that, don't you think?"
"I'm serious. I still love you and I will fight for you. I'll do whatever it takes." He gritted his teeth.
"Don't waste your time. It's never going to happen." I sneered.
"Did you forget all those nights when we made love? When I gave you pleasure like no one else could? When you screamed my name while I kept thrusting in and out of you..." He kept leaning into me.
"Stop it. Landon is my boyfriend now." I pushed him away.
"Does he give you pleasure like I did? Huh?"
I couldn't answer because Landon and I haven't had sex. We've been dating for only four days.
"You and him haven't- Leah, that makes me so much happier. Your heart and body only belong to me."
"Fuck you." I told him and left him.
