Chapter 16

🌜Moondrop's🌛POV:

          All I do is wait for tomorrow... It is almost midnight, and I am sitting on the edge of Pizzaplex's rooftop. After Monty and I had a nice talk and a small hangout some time ago, he had to go to 'Parts and service' for a check-up. The Glamrocks will be performing the whole day tomorrow. Only small breaks of like fifteen minutes will be there. From ten in the morning to eleven at night. Nice for them, I suppose.

🐰- Sitting alone there, Moondrop?

          I got so scared that I almost fell off the rooftop's edge of this building. Someone called me from behind. That voice was familiar... Wait. I turned around to face them as I stepped back on the roof. It seemed to be a person in a white bunny costume. It's all stitched up with different fabrics.

🌜- Who are you? - I asked while not moving an inch.

🐰- Can't you recognize my voice? I am your friend. - They said.

🌜- The one that has been invading my personal mind and thoughts?

🐰- If you wanna call it like that. I came to see you.

🌜- Not gonna lie, at first, I thought you were not even a real person and that I was just going crazy! - I laughed.

🐰- Me? Not real!? I am a very real woman! This is why I need to talk to you in person. - She acted dramatically offended.

🌜- Can I at least know your name? You know mine.

🐰- My name is Vanny. Nice to meet you, Moondrop~ - She said while coming closer.

🌜- Vanny... Nice to meet you, Vanny. But I have a serious question. What do you really want? If you wanted to be my friend for whatever reason, you would come to me in person in the first place and not disturb my thoughts.

🐰- Dear Moon, I wish I could have come to you sooner! I really didn't catch a chance to do so before tonight... I told you that I want nothing but to help you!

🌜- I don't like you repeating that constantly. I'm done with people who repeat one sentence all day and refuse to tell me what's going on because it's for 'my own good'.

🐰- And I am here to help you with that! To help you get what you want... - What I want?

🌜- I don't see how- Wait. Do you hear that? - I started looking around.

          Something weird could be heard in the distance. It seemed like it was very far away and muffled, but at the same time, it also seemed like it was very close. It was so close and I could hear it... Feel it.

🐰- Hear what? I don't hear anything! - She smiled.

🌜- It's like I hear a... Scream. - Quietly, I whispered.

🐰- No, no screming! - She ran to me. - There's nothing. - Vanny looked around for a moment.

🌜- But I-

🐰- You hear nothing! - She junped and grabbed my face. - Just calm down and keep listening to me, okay?

          What is she doing? Why is she holding my face tightly? A scream... A muffled scream. I can hear muffled screams and cries but I still don't see anything! Is someone crying down the street? Somewhere in the Pizzaplex? That's a child. A child is crying! It's getting louder, but I don't see it!

🐰- Moon, Moon! Look at me, calm down! - She tightly held my face as I tried to let go. - Don't look aside. Just keep calm and listen.

          The crying and screaming is getting louder, but I still don't see it... All I can see is Vanny's face and a few glitches. My vision is starting to get fuzzy and glitchy... I can still hear them.
