Chapter 24

🌜Moondrop's🌛POV:

          Suddenly, I opened my eyes wide as I flinched aside when I heard a loud sound. It seemed to be an alarm. Sunny immediately jumped out of the bed, falling down while pulling the blanket on the floor with him as well since he was tucked in it until now. He quickly got up from the floor and threw the blanket over me. I pulled it down from my head in confusion as he turned on the lights. A minute after, the alarm wasn't heard anymore.

🌞- Good morning, Moony! I am SO terribly sorry for this! I set up an alarm before we went to sleep because I didn't want to wake up late! - He explained.

🌜- Oh, that's okay. It just startled me a bit, haha. Good morning, though. How did you sleep? - I assured then asked with my tired morning voice.

🌞- Better than ever! Thank you, Moony. It was really, really sweet of you. - He spoke in a calmer tone as he walked over to our bed again to sit next to me.

🌜- Heh, it's nothing, really.

🌞- By the way... Are you sure you are ready to get back on the job from today? - Sun questioned while looking slightly worried.

🌜- Yeah, don't worry about that! - I replied immediately. - I think I rested enough. A bit too long, wouldn't you say? Haha.

🌞- Hehe... Yeah. The 'Nap time' now starts at five and ends at eight in the evening! Is that alright with you?

🌜- Yep. That's just fine. By that time, children are surely going to be tired of all the play. Then they can have some more fun with the time that's left with you, and then go home. That seems like a perfect schedule for me.

🌞- I agree! If it doesn't work out for whatever reason, we could always change it. I'm not the only one in charge now, am I? - He chuckled and tapped my shoulder.

🌜- I guess so...

🌞- Well, I will be going now! We're open in a few minutes and children should arrive soon.

🌜- Alright then. I'll be here if you need me.

🌞- Okay. See you later then, Moony!

🌜- See you later, Sunny.

          And with those words, he left our room. Sunny left to prepare the last few things in the Daycare for the arrival of children for today. I am perfectly fine with everything now. Oh, I didn't do 'Nap time' in so long... Missed it quite a bit, not gonna lie. Since I had plenty of time to myself again now, I couldn't help but think about the last night.

          A lot happened. I can't believe I even thought of ending it all... It's kinda unimaginable to think about it now. I am so glad I had my best friend and, well, Sunny, to help me with all of that and make the last night so cheerful and joyful for me. Sun and I cleared some things up and we ended up being on better terms than we ever were. That hug was... Something to remember, for sure. I wish we didn't have to let go of it so soon. If it could have lasted just a bit longer...

         I am so glad that everything is alright now. I got my freedom and my job back. I got myself a best friend and Sunny and I were never on better terms than right now. It's true unbelievable. I realized that Sun isn't that bad of a person as I thought some time ago. He isn't a cruel animatronic that locked me away from freedom just because he felt like doing so. Even though it was still wrong, he did it because he cared. He did it out of love, and now I understand.

          After sleeping for a few hours, I decided to finally get up from the bed and look around the room a bit. There's only so much I can do here now. I couldn't go and bother Monty to hang out now even if I wanted to because the whole group is busy with the shows and everything. Besides that, there's a lot of people all around the Pizzaplex by now and I really don't feel like being around so many people right now. No, I have a job that I'm supposed to do soon and I wanna be in a good mood for it.
