Chapter 4

🌜Moondrop's🌛POV:

          Monty and I were playing mini golf for the past thirty minutes. It's really fun, actually! He taught me some basics and rules of the game. The golf course is very pretty, too. I like it all a lot, I indeed do. He is winning seven more points than me, but that's alright. That is just a game. I am just happy I'm hanging out with someone.

🌞- Hey, Moonyyyy! I'm awake! - Sun said in my head.

          Ugh... Why is he awake right now!? It didn't pass even two hours since he fell asleep! Why does he have to annoy me now? I guess it is fine... He can just stay in there while I do what I do. It's not like there's much to do up in there anyway.

🌜- Sorry, Sun. You woke up at the wrong time. Wait a bit, I guess. - I replied.

🌞- Wait... WHERE ARE WE? - He yelled.

🐊- Yo dude, who are you talking to?

          Oh damn, I forgot I'm talking out loud in order to talk to Sun like this. Montgomery heard that.

🌜- Nothing, really. Sun woke up. - I didn't know what else to say.

🐊- What do you mean?

🌜- I guess you don't know. Sun and I share the same body, different consciousness. While one is 'out', the other is in the mindscape or something like that. We can sleep in there, see through the eyes if we want, or just sleep. Talk too, but the one that's out speaks out loud.

          I was not entirely sure how to explain it all, but I think this is the simplest way of explaining it for now. Hopefully, he understood.

🐊- Damn bro, that's cool!

🌜- Not really...

🐊- Why not?

🌞- MOON, WHERE ARE WE RIGHT NOW?

🌜- SHUT UP FOR A SECOND!

🐊- What? - Monty asked, confused.

🌜- Oh no, not you, Monty! Sorry. Sun is just... Annoying.

🐊- Oh, alright. I have a question, though.

🌜- Go ahead. Ask away.

🐊- How does all that... Changing work? Like, how do you two switch, or whatever?

🌜- It's about lights. When there is light, Sun is out. When it's dark, I am out. It's our programming.

🐊- How are you... uh, out now, then? There isn't much light here since it's nighttime, but still, I guess?

🌜- I can handle a small amount of light. We use shining stars when it's 'Nap time' in the Daycare. It's much darker in here than I thought, to be honest. Why don't you turn the lights on when you're here?

🐊- I can see in the dark, and we started talking the moment I came in, so... I didn't really think about the lights since you didn't mention it either.

🌜- Oh, cool then.

🌞- MOON, ANSWER ME! - Sundrop yelled in our mind again.

🌜- Monty, could you excuse me for a moment? Sun wants to talk.

🐊- Sure, man, go ahead.

          As Montgomery politely understood the situation, I went a little bit away from him so I could freely talk with Sun. Why does he have to annoy me now? Of all times, RIGHT NOW? What does he even want?
