Thirty Five

I closed my eyes again and saw Max in my mind. 

She was with Lucas, and she was alive. 

And so I raised her up and healed her.

I felt the bright light transferring from her to me, fixing every single bone in her body and making her as strong as I felt.

Opening my eyes again, I had Vecna suspended in the air.

His veiny and tentacle-like body was twitching as he was trying to fight me off.

But then I heard a whisper from someone who wasn't there.

You're stronger than you think, Charlie. Break free, you can do it. Billy's voice encouraged me. I'll be with you every step of the way.

I smirked as I rose off the ground to meet Vecna's stare.

I also saw the absolutely shocked faces of Robin, Nancy and Steve.

"Let's finish this once and for all," I told Nancy. "Do it for Barb."

Nancy seemed to understand what I meant, obviously it was a twin thing.

She stepped closer to the hole in the house where Vecna fell out and closed her eyes. I closed mine and then came the bright light. 

It was burning bright white again but this time it felt scorching hot.

I opened my eyes and pointed at Vecna.

White light stabbed him in the chest and he tried to recoil but couldn't. This is for Barb and Bob.

The light had him pinned down and began to burn him. This is for Billy.

One of his arms was already broken and his leg looked mangled.

I went to aim the light at his head. This is for Chrissy, for Fred and for Patrick.

Vecna seemed to be melting away. But then he gained a grasp of consciousness for a second.

"You don't know the half of it," He muttered out. "You both just don't know. Understand why I did it."

With a twitch of his fingers, Nancy and I were back in Vecna's mind.

(A/N: this was really short but I have a super long next chapter so i hope it makes up for it. but the next chapter is like one really long flashback so i didn't want to break it up.)
