Dean is driving and Carly and Sam are up front while Jack, Miranda, Serena, and Wyatt are in the back. All of the kids and Jack are asleep.
"Hey, we still got probably 12 hours until we're home. You want me to drive?" Sam asks.
"Do I ever want you to drive?" Dean asks.
"Look... losing mom and Cas, that's a lot to process, Dean. Especially on no sleep. And the kid--"
"The "kid?" Come on, man, you know how this plays out. Look, when we try to bend the rules, pretend that the bad guys aren't so bad or that things will get fixed, that's when people that we care about get hurt. And then we end up doing what we should've done in the first place, which is end the problem. So this time, let's start with the obvious. Soon as I find a way to take care of... it."
"Dean, the "problem" might be our only shot at saving mom."
"Mom's gone. There's no fixing that."
"Ever the optimist, dickwad." Miranda mutters in her half asleep state.

They walk through the hallway of the motel and Sam is holding Serena who is still mostly asleep.
"This is a bad idea. We should've just kept driving." Dean says.
"Dude." Sam scoffs. "You were hallucinating sheep on the road. We need a few hours."
Sam unlocks the room for the family and puts their stuff down.
"One of 'em gets the couch." Miranda says.
"Not it." Serena mumbles.
"I'm not sleeping with either of them." Wyatt says, making himself comfortable on the couch.
"Okay. You guys okay hanging out in here?" Sam asks. "We'll come get you when we get food."
"Whatever." Carly mumbles, making her way to one of the beds and plopping down.
"Okay, Serena." Sam mumbles, going to put her down.
"No." She whines, tightening her grip around him.
"Okay." Sam stands back up, readjusting his grip on her so she doesn't slip.
The couple go into the other room.
"This is nice." Jack comments.
"Let's ward the rooms, get a bite, get a few hours of sleep, hit the road first thing." Sam says. He turns the TV on, an episode of Scooby-Doo playing, and Jack sits on the bed, watching it.
"It's... wonderful." Jack says.
"You put Scooby-Doo on?" Serena lifts her head.
"Oh, now you're awake." Sam remarks.
"Hey. No." Dean tells Jack, grabbing the remote. He watches the show for a few moments, chuckling. "No." He turns the TV off.
Serena groans, putting her head back on Sam's shoulder.
"Here, just, uh... sit. Read." Dean tosses Jack a Bible as the boy sits on the couch.
"Read a book. We're out of here in a few hours." Dean says.

They got food and are all gathered around the coffee table and eating. The kids were asleep, but woke up in an instant at the news of food.
Sam finishes up the warding before sitting between his daughters.
"You can slow down, you know. That stuff's not gonna disappear." Dean tells Jack who is practically devouring his burger.
