It's the morning and Sam is sitting at the kitchen table and on his laptop. The kitchen light is off, only the hallway letting him see the room.
Serena is on his lap, and half asleep, not being able to get much since Carly kept kicking her.
"Morning, sunshine." Sam hears Dean greet as he walks in.
"Hey." Sam quietly replies.
"What you looking at?" Dean asks. "Porn? Sex tapes? Nip slips?"
"The internet is more than just naked people." Sam says. "You do know that, right?"
"Not my internet." Dean says and Sam rolls his eyes.
"He has a different internet?" Serena sleepily mumbles.
"Very different and very not for you or your siblings or any of us." Sam whispers. "Go to sleep." He kisses her on the head. Serena sighs, digging her face into the crook of his neck.
"All right. Check this out." Sam says, covering Serena's ear, softly pressing down to at least muffle the conversation. The last thing she needs is more nightmares. "So, this girl -- her body was found just outside Big Creek State Park in Iowa. Uh, covered in bite marks. The police are saying it's an animal attack."
"But?" Dean asks.
"But I did some digging, and I found that there weren't a lot of bodies, but a lot of people do go missing in that park." Sam says. "Look at this. Park ranger back in '06. A poacher in '98. And on and on and on. I mean, I've only gone back to 1943, and I've already found 54 missing people."
"Wow."
"Yeah."
"Yeah. Sounds like our kind of thing." Dean says, sitting across from him. "You sure you're up for it? I mean, I know you wanted to take some time."
"No, I-I'm-- I'm good." Sam says, stroking Serena's hair, the girl now fast asleep. "Honestly, I-I'm good."
"All right. Well, let's hit it." Sam says.
"You got it. I'll check with my bunch, you grab Cas." Sam says, shutting his laptop.
"He actually left." Dean says.
"What?" Sam asks.
"Early this morning." Dean says.
"Why?"
"I don't know. Something about being cooped up in the bunker for a few weeks. We all need to stretch our legs. I get it."
"All right. Uh, then, Jack."
"Uh... I don't want Jack on this."
"I thought you said Donatello gave him the all clear?"
"Yeah, he did. And I'm-- I'm sure he's good. But... Jacks' got his mojo back. His powers have gotten us in trouble in the past -- the security guard." Dean says. "So I just want to make sure that, you know, he's right before we put him back out there."
"Yeah. Yeah." Sam nods.

"Do you really need me to go?" Miranda grimaces.
"No, I just... I want you to go." Sam says. "Not even to hunt, just... just to be there. You know, in the same town. I don't wanna be away from you guys that long."
"I thought you said you were okay." Miranda says, giving him a look.
"I am. I just... love my family." Sam says. "Please."
"Ugh. Fine." Miranda groans. "You know, tagging along on hunts would be so much more fun if your brother wasn't a little bitch."
"I know." Sam says. "I appreciate your sacrifice." He kisses her on the forehead.
