Dean has been possessed and missing for a few weeks, Sam being the most affected. He struggles with searching, hunting, parenting, spending time with Miranda, and now the new role as leading all of the hunters from the other universe.

Miranda tries to get him to slow down, doing her best to take care of him, but he just keeps going, the woman barely able to keep up. She does everything she can to give him less stress, but unfortunately the thing causing him the most stress is the thing she can't fix. Even though she despises her brother-in-law, she'd bring him back just to see her husband let himself breathe again.

Miranda is currently standing at the map table, a few hunters and Mary in the room.

"You got silver. Devil's trap. Holy oil." A hunter points to each bullet, showing Mary. "And these here, they're dipped in dead man's blood." Mary takes the gun and loads it. "Basically, you need some freak dead? I got you."

"A rawhead did this?" Maggie asks the guy sitting in front of her while she tends to his wound.

"Yeah. Outside Phoenix. They're faster than they look." The guy says. "Meaner, too." Maggie pulls a tooth out of the guy's shoulder.

"So, so gross." She says.

"Soup's on." A hunter walks in with a pot. "Who's eating?" He asks, some people calling out agreements.

Miranda hears the door open and watches her husband walk downstairs.

"Hey, baby." She offers him a comforting smile.

"Hi, honey." Sam whispers, accepting her hug. She pecks him on the lips as they pull away and brushes his cheek.

"How was Atlanta?" Mary asks.

"It was, uh... it was a bust." Sam says. "The woman who claims she saw an "angel" was..." He snorts. "Let's just say I think she had one too many hits of the brown acid, you know?"

"Maybe you should've taken some." Miranda attempts to joke, but only gets a short smile in return.

"Sam, we're gonna find him. Ketch is working that thing in London. Castiel is in Detroit. I know it's been three weeks since Dean..." Mary pauses. "Something will break. It has to."

"Yeah. Yeah, you keep saying that." Sam says before he yawns.

"Okay, no. You-- you need to sleep." Miranda says. "Go to bed."

"No. No, I-I'm fine, baby. Really." Sam insists, gently holding her arms, preventing her from moving.

"Sammy--"

"Chief." A hunter cuts Miranda off.

"Hey." Sam says, turning to the hunter.

"Good to have you back." He hands Sam a bowl of soup.

"Thanks." Sam says.

"Don't thank me yet." The guy says making Miranda quietly sigh. "Word is we got some vamps heading east on I-90. Gypsy types. Pickin' off truckers, mostly."

"Last body got drained and dropped just outside La Crosse six hours ago." The guy who Maggie is helping informs.

"Okay. Um... all right. Get me teams of two. I want watch points every 50 miles. If you see something, say something." Sam says. "Maggie, can you hack the traffic cams on the freeway?"

"Um..." Maggie looks lost. "No."

"Right. Right. Of course. Sorry. Um, I got it. Thank you." Sam says, giving his soup to his wife. "Uh, please. Would you call in Sharon and her crew? We're gonna need all hands on deck here." Sam says.
