Sam and Miranda are sitting in the library and Sam is on the phone with Jody.

"Yeah, yeah, no, I hear you. Yeah, thank you, Jody. Yeah." Sam says before hanging the phone up as Dean walks in.

"What's up?" Dean asks.

"You'll never believe this. I got a call from Missouri Moseley." Sam states.

"Wow. What's it been, like, a decade?" Dean asks.

"More." Sam corrects.

"How is she?" Dean asks.

"Not great. She said that she got out of the life for a while, but something happened and she needed help with a case, so I put Jody on it." Sam explains.

"Why would you do that?" Dean asks.

"Because we need to stay here. We need to help Jack learn how to control his powers. Jody can handle this."

"Yeah, maybe she can. Or maybe she ends up dead because you wanted to skip out on her to babysit the Antichrist."

"Oh, please, get a grip for once." Miranda whines at the "man."

"Dean, we need him." Sam says.

"No, don't." Dean objects.

"Mom..." Sam tries.

"Don't. You... if you want to stay here and Mr. Miyagi this kid, knock yourself out. I didn't sign up for that. So I'm going to go to work." Dean walks out.

"I still don't get why--"

"We can't sacrifice him to Lucifer." Sam says.

"Why not?" Miranda whines.

"Randi." He gives her a look.

"Fine. But next time you die, I don't care how long it's for, I'm tossing him to the sharks." Miranda states.

"Next time? Wha--" Sam frowns.

"Oh, we both know there's gonna be a next time." Miranda states, ignoring Sam's offended look.

Jack and the three kids are sitting at a table. The kids are doing their schoolwork, Carly focused on history, Wyatt is doing English, and Serena has her math book open, but is really just doodling on the edges of the pages.

"Train me. To what?" Jack asks.

"I've seen what you can do, Jack. You're powerful, but you have to learn to control it. You know, to focus." Sam says, sitting down by him. Miranda leans against the wall, not wanting to crowd the kid who has been alive for merely a week.

"So I don't hurt anyone anymore." Jack says.

"Exactly. See this pencil?" He holds a pencil up before putting it on the table in front of Jack. "I want you to move it. With your mind."

"That's it?" Jack asks.

"That's it." Sam nods.

"He can do that?" Wyatt asks with wide eyes, looking up.

"School." Sam quietly orders. Wyatt rolls his eyes, but lowers his head back to his own work.

Jack stares at the pencil, Miranda and Sam watching him. Jack glances up at Sam who nods to the pencil.

Carly looks over at him, watching as nothing happens. She glances between him and the pencil before she gets bored and looks back to her history book.

"I thought you said watching Jack use his mind powers would be fun. He isn't doing anything." Serena whines as her mother makes lunch.

"Be nice." Miranda chides.
