Confessions Part 2

Melissa's POV:

"Uh.. you see-" I begin, my eyes never leaving Samantha's.

"Nothing." she blurts out and Adrian raises an eyebrow at her.

"Really.. I heard everything you told her." Adrian walks into the room and stands a few steps away from me.

"You did?" Samantha questions as she blinks back the tears. "Well don't mind everything I said, I.. I don't know what I was talking about." she looks away from him.

"Why didn't you say a word to me?" Adrian asks her and she remains quiet. "You and I would have done something about it. I know that all this is my fault, and.. I'm sorry." he says slowly.

What? Did I hear that right? Adrian is sorry? Like really sorry? Wow.. I mean he's admitted that he was also in the wrong.

"You're sorry?" Samantha asks her brother in complete shock and I smile.

"Yes. Everything is my fault. If only I-" Adrian is cut as Samantha throws her arms around him.

I hear my husband chuckle and I look up to find him already staring at me and I nod my head with a huge grin to encourage him.

"That's enough don't you think." he says to Samantha, "my wife is jealous." he remarks and my eyes go wide.

"I'm not!" I protest as both the siblings laugh.

Samantha pulls away from Adrian with a smile and pushes her hair behind her ear, "No more fighting." she speaks.

"Hmm.. No more lazing around. We'll find something for you to do." Adrian adds.

She nods her head, her beautiful smile never leaving her lips. She's so beautiful when she smiles, just like my husband, who happens to be her brother.

We hear whispers just outside the door, I shrug when Samantha gives me a questioning look. Adrian walks over to the door and opens it, revealing Trina? And Joshua?

"This isn't good." Trina whispers to her boyfriend and I can hear small and quiet chuckles from Samantha.

"Well, y'all were missing at the table and I dragged him here so that we can look for you guys." Trina is the first to speak.

"I see.." I stand next to Adrian who immediately wraps his arm around my waist and I blush.

"So what do you say?" Samantha asks Trina avoiding Joshua's eyes, "I mean since you head everything."

Trina looks at me and I smile at her. There's no room for holding grudges against each other now, everybody needs a second chance and I think Samantha needs it even more.

She lived her whole life pretending to be who she really isn't, and nobody noticed anything. All she ever wanted was love. And nothing more.

"Well I'm sorry too for everything. You see.. you and I wanted the same thing. Love. And.. yeah. I don't know." Trina sighs. "I don't know."

"It's fine if you can't forgive me for everything, I understand why you can't do it. You too Joshie.. I mean Joshua."

Lisa's POV :

I can hear Joshua's heartbeat as it rapidly pounds against his nice chest. All this is making him uncomfortable. He keeps staring down at me to make sure if I'm still in control, and yes I am. Everything is in the past now and I only got irritated when Samantha called him Joshie.

She actually called my Joshua Joshie again.

"It's alright." I say through gritted teeth and smile at the end to sound less.. rude?
