Melissa's pov:

I get my laptop from the table then sit on the bed to search the 'AD corporation limited' on the internet, it says,

The current CEO is Adrian Dawns. He is 28 years old, he is unmarried. His profile is low.

The information about him is not enough.

I put my head in my hands until I hear a knock on the door.

"come in!" I shout putting back the laptop.

I watch as mom, dad and Stacy walk in.

"hey did you get the job?" mom asks with a worried expression.

"yes..." I try to fake my smile when mom sits on the bed next to me.

"really?" Stacy starts jumping up and down.

Stupid girl.

What's there to jump about when I'll be digging my own grave.

I smile at her nodding my head.

"then why do you look sad?" my mom asks holding my hand.

"it's nothing mom, I'm just tired because I spent my whole life looking for a job."

Lie lie lie.

"hey Karen why don't you make some coffee for your daughter then?" dad looked at Mom then at me.

"yeah sure, we will leave you girls alone."

....

I sit on the floor without saying a word to Stacy.

"hey are you sure you're okay?" she sits next to me.

"no Stacy I'm not! I don't know what I've gotten myself into."

"what happened?"

"he's now my---" I start to explain everything to her then I realize if I tell her she'll tell her mother then her mother will tell my mother.

Which is definitely not my plan!

"Melisa!" she waves her hand in front of my face. I blink a couple of times before looking back at her.

"Hmmm?"

"is your boss handsome? Is he married?"

"no Stacy, look I'll talk to you tomorrow I'm really tired."

"or maybe you want to start thinking about your boss..." she smiles getting up from where she was sitting. She slammed the door shut.

Now this is my time to finally sleep!!

This was a very hard decision to make.

I really need the job, I need to help mom and dad.

That man is just going to humiliate me but again I can't back down.

I don't know what I should do.

However, I'm a very strong lady. I know it myself.

I badly need the job.

I look at my reflection in the mirror for the last time before I leave.

I finally reached there on time then knocked at the door.

"come in." Adrian uttered the words in a low hoarse voice.

I entered the office.

"so you finally came!" he smiled devilishly.

I keep my head down as he continues.
