You walked along the quiet halls of the hospital, 3 days since the attack and you weren't allowed to see any of them. Except for Kayama, you heard the news a day after but you didn't know anyones else whereabouts, how badly there were hurt or even if they're still healthy and ok. You held Kenjis small hand as you approached the room, the more you walked the colder it got, approaching the door you opened it to see her lifeless body covered with a black from her shoulders down. After today she'll be buried, so this was your last chance at seeing her face.
"Auntie" Kenji spoke softly, as he touched her dark hair, you smiled as you stared down at her cold lifeless face. Placing a kiss against her forehead you smiled, "you did good, Kayama" you wished you could help truly, you cant restore what's been lost. But she was already long gone when you found out, you walked out the room, Kenji trail beside you the next person you came to visit was Ryuko. It was silent as you walked through the halls every step making you grow anxious, you knocked on her door, hearing her voice brought some sort of relief in you.
"Hey" she whispered as you walked in, "Auntie Ryu!" Kenji shouted running over to her bed. "Glad you're ok" you went you hug her as Kenji rested with her, "I'm glad you too are alright as well" she hugged you back while Kenji joined in. "I'm visiting everyone, do you think Kenji could stay with you? I don't want to scare him more" you whispered as she hummed in response, "I'll be back ok Kenji?" You spoke breaking the hug. "Can you stay with Auntie Ryū for me?" You smiled at him as he nodded, you kissed his forehead before taking your leave.
You first visited Aizawa and you were glad he was ok just a severed foot, next was Takeyama, You walked in the room and the moment she saw you she jumped out of bed as ran to you. "[Y/N]!!" She cried out as I ran to catch her from falling off the bed "She's gone! [Y/N] she's gone" she cried into your chest as you held back your tears, "I know Takeyama" you whispered as you sat her in the bed "I know" you whispered again patting her head.
She cried more into you chest, you shirt now becoming wet, "I-I sorry for ruining your shirt" she hiccuped out. "I just wasn't sure if you were ok aswell, is jiji ok?" She questioned and you smiled nodding, "he's ok, he's with Ryuko" she nodded softly sniffing as she rested her head on my chest, "Can we just stay like this for a bit?" You hummed in response as you laid her down. You both laid there, you felt her body slowly relaxing as you patted her head, soon you heard little snores and you smiled to yourself, though Takeyama can be a very self centered person she isn't selfish.
On top of that she's also a huge baby, you removed yourself from her sleeping figure and placed a kiss on her forehead before leaving to visit Rumi. Although you wished to see your husband, you saved him for last since you felt so many feelings towards him, worry, sadness, anger, everything into one. Arriving at her door, you cracked it open it see she was fast asleep, you walked in to atleast get a look at her and there you saw it, her left arm was gone along with her lower right leg, you smiled to yourself sadly just happy she was ok. Before leaving you placed a kiss on her forehead, you walked out the room slowly close the door behind you.
You walked to his room, the cold empty halls, and the sound of your shoes hitting the floor made you grow anxious the more steps you took. Standing in front of his door, you placed your hand on the knob before opening the door, you saw him sitting on the bed his head wrapped in bandages, while he fixed his clothing. He looked up at you and it felt like words left his mouth, he wasn't sure what to say to you, You walked over to him soon standing right in front of him, you raised your hand and soon let it connect with his cheek.
You felt tears prick your eyes, as you put your hand back to your side, he stood up not looking at you his mouth feeling dry. "What the hell is wrong with you?" You questioned as tears began to fall from your eyes, "I thought I was going to lose you" you swung your arms around his neck engulfing him into a hug, him gladly accepting. "Come on we have to go" you began as you grabbed his stuff, "Wha—" "I got us the last flight to America, we have to go now" you pulled his arm to drag him but he wouldn't budge.
"We're not leaving" he finally spoke pulling his arm from you, "w-what do you mean, we have to go it's not safe here for Kenji" you began but then you looked at him, he was serious. "U.A. is offering shelter to anyone who doesn't feel safe, I want you to go there" he spoke as you frowned your eyebrows "what? No I'm not staying there if you're not coming with me" you spoke grabbing his hand. "It's safer for you—" "it's not if I don't know if you're coming back" you interrupted "we made a promise, you said you'd always come back to me, but if I go you won't be coming back to me" you whispered intertwining your fingers with his.
"If it's safer for you there then you're, going both of you" he remarked, "Then why wont you come with me?" you questioned, tears falling from your eyes again. Soon the door was opened and you turned to see best jeanist, "are you ready?" he questioned and turned back to keigo to see him nodding, "Where are you going?" you questioned as he walked passed you "Listen [Y/N], theres no one calling the shots at the safety commission, as the number two hero the city needs me, endeavor needs he—" "they need you more than I do? More than Kenji?" He froze as you stared at him.
"I'm your wife, and he's your son, our only child. I'm not leaving you alone" you whispered tears leaking from your eyes, "Just go to the school I've already made all the arrangements" his scratching voice let out once again. "Not without you" "Why not?!" He shouted as you jumped, "Because how will I know when I can see my husband again? What will I tell Kenji when you leave us again? How do I tell a 2 year old his dad left to care for other people instead of his family?" You paused feeling your heart become heavy, "You're leaving us for a second time and I can't keep raising Kenji allow, we made a promise who will you come home to if I'm not there?" You finally questioned looking down at your feet.
"It's simple no one" he answered cause anger to bubble up inside you, "Go to the scho—" you slapped him before speed walking out the room not before stopping at the door. "If you don't come home tonight Im leaving, for good" you whispered before leaving to get Kenji and get home.
Keigo was doing this for the both of you mainly, but couldn't he find a better way? Why was he pushing you away? He knew he didn't want to come home to an empty home once again but he wanted you to be safe, no matter what. That night he did come home but you were sleeping, you had cried yourself to sleep after putting Kenji to bed, he kissed your forehead and walked over to Kenjis seating figure in his crib, "papa, stay! I love you" Kenji whined as keigo picked him up and Kenji held into him tightly not wanting to let go. He sat on his side of the bed while trying to sooth a crying Kenji, he didn't want to leave you guys truly, but until he could make this place peaceful for the both of you again he had too.
