''I can't believe you're going to college!'' My mom smiled, and i smiled nervously back at her.
After waiting for months, today was the big day.
I was going to college.
''I'm so nervous mom, i'm not sure if i still want to.'' I say, and check my Phone to see if i have any text messages.
''What? No Lily! You worked so hard for this.. you can't go back now!'' My mom panicked, and i laughed.
''Mom calm down.. don't take everything too seriously.'' I say, and notice that we arrived at the college.
''It's so big! How am i going to find my way in here?!'' I ask, and get out of the car to get a better sight.
''It's okay.. you'll learn the way very soon..'' My mom told me, as she got my bags out of the backseat.
''What if my roommate is a bitch?'' I ask, and help my mom with my bags, as we walk inside the huge building.
''She's not.. now calm down, or i'll leave you alone!'' Mom says, and i sigh.
I look around the building, seeing hundreds of people.
After walking around for god knows how long, we finally found my room, and i slowly open the door.
I see quite a big room, two beds, a tv, a desk, and suitcases on one of the beds.
I walk in, and place my bags and stuff on the floor.
''It's nice..'' My mom says, and i sit down on my bed.
I sigh, looking at my mom. ''What's wrong darling?'' She asks, and sits down beside me.
''Nothing.. it's just.. all new, and i'm scared that it won't be like i imagined it.'' I say, and place my head on her shoulder.
''It will honey..'' She says, wrapping her arms around me.
After hugging, talking, and yes, crying, it's time to say goodbye to my mom.
''I love you, and call me whenever you need something.'' My mom says, and i nod, giving her one more hug.
''Love you too!'' I say, kissing her cheek.
She walks away, and i unpack my bags, and cover the walls with some pictures of my family and friends.
''Oh you're here!'' I hear a voice behind me, and i turn around to see a girl smiling at me.
I reach out my hand to her, and she walks towards me.
''I'm Lily.. Lily Smith.'' I smile.
''Hi, i'm Mali Koa Hood!'' She says, and she shakes my hand.
''So, what do you think? Everything you expected?'' She asks, and i nod.
''Yeah, for so far..'' I laugh, and she helps me with hanging my posters on the wall.
''We can go walk around the school for a while, so we don't get lost tomorrow..'' Mali says, and i nod.
''That would be good!'' I say, and after covering my walls, and a part of her side, we walk out of the dorm room.
''This is where the classes will be.'' She says, and shows me the classrooms.
