I came back in my room where Mali was already waiting for me. "How was it?" She asked, and i sat down beside her. "The best date ever!" I say, and Mali hugs me. "Ah, i'm so happy!" She says, and i laugh.
"Oh Lil.. i need to ask you something.. because Calum wanted to ask you this.. but he's scared you'll say no, so i had to do it." She says, and i chuckle. "What's it?" I ask, and Mali sighs. "Next week, we have a week off remember?" She asks, and i nod, waiting for her question. "Well, Calum and i are going home for a few days, and we'd like you to come with us!" She says, and i gasp. "Like, meeting your parents and stuff?" I ask, and Mali nods. "Do they even know about Cal and i?" I ask, and Mali nods again. "I called them a few days ago.. they'd love to meet you." She says, and i look at her. "Fine.. i'll go." I say, and Mali jumps up. "YES!" She says, and i laugh.
"Calum, Lily is coming with us next week!" Mali says, and his face lights up. "You are?" He asks, and i nod. He gives me a kiss, and smiles. "Amazing.. i can't wait for you to meet my parents!" He says, and i smile nervously. Like, what if they don't like me? Of think i'm not good enough for Calum, or don't support our relationship? Questions are going through my mind, and i suddebly feel a hand on my shoulder. "Are you okay?" I turn around and see Mali. "Yes.. i was just.. thinking." I say, and Mali smiles. "Don't do that.. it only makes things harder." She says, and i nod, following her to class.

The week went by so fast, and now, here i am.. sitting beside Calum in his car with Mali in the backseat. "How long's the drive?" I ask, and Calum shrugs. "Without traffic half an hour.. but with traffic.. cound on one hour." He says, and i nod, staring out of the window as i start biting my nails. It's a bad habit for when i get nervous, and i need to stop.
"You okay?" Calum asks, and i smile nervously. "a bit nervous." I say, and Calum places his hand on my knee. "Don't worry.. it'll be okay!" He says, and i nod, taking his hand in mine, and give it a small kiss.
The door opens, and a woman is standing in front of us.
"Hello darling, i'm Joy!" She says, and gives me a hug. "I'm Lily!" I say, and Joy smiles. "I've heard so much about you!" She says, and i laugh. "Well, come in!" She says, and i walk in, and follow her to the living room with Mali and Calum. "Hey dad!" They say, and hug him, and then they turn to me. "I'm Lily." I say, and shake his hand. "Hello Lily, i'm David!" He says, and i smile, already loving these people.
"I made diner, spaghetti, Calum's favorite food.. i always make it when he comes home.. do you like spaghetti?" Joy asks, and i nod. "Love it!"
She smiles, and i sit down beside Calum, and he kisses my cheek. "They like you!" He whispers, and i giggle.
"Not at the table, kids." David says, and Calum laughs while my head turns red. "It's not what you think dad.." he says, and i smile at him.
"So Lily, what would you like to do when you are older?" Joy asks, "I'd like to be a nurse." I say and she nods. "That's lovely." She says.
It's midnight, and i always have trouble with sleeping when i'm not in my own bed. I turn around, and see Calum fast asleep beside me, and Mali on a matress on the floor.
I get up, and walk towards the bathroom to get some water, when i bump into someone.
"Sorry Joy, i didn't mean to do that!" I whisper, and she laugs softly. "It's okay love, what are you doing here so late?" She asks, and i shrug. "I couldn't sleep, i wanted to drink something." I say, and Mali takes my hand and leads me downstairs. "Sit down, i'll make you something!" She says, and i sit down.
After a few minutes, she comes back, with a cup of tea. "Tea, with milk, and honey.." she says, and sits down in front of me. "I always made this for Calum when he was younger and couldn't sleep." She says, and i smile of the thought of a little Calum.
Joy gets up, and walks to another room, before coming back with a photo album.
"Calum when he was younger." She smiles, and opens the album.
I see a little guy, in pyjamas, playing with some toys by a christmas tree.
I want to hear every story of Calum's childhood..
How he laughed, what he played with, his dreams, what he did when he was angry.. everything.
"They grow up so fast." Joy says, and i look at a picture of a little girl with a boy. Calum and Mali.
"They are so cute together." I say. "They still are." Joy says, and i nod, finishing my tea.
"Well, go upstairs love, and have a good sleep." Joy says, and i nod. She kissed my cheek, and i go upstairs. I lay down beside Calum, and look at him. He looks so peaceful when he sleeps. I kiss his lips slowly, and lay back. "Goodnight Cal.." i say, and close my eyes.
