I'm not asking either. Do it.
The grip on my arm from earlier led me to wonder what his intentions were. I let him follow me in the shadowy corridor of the hallway, our footsteps echoing in the dark. No words were spoken, just the lingering presence behind me. It was tense. I could smell his cologne, faint smells of leather and something else that enticed my senses. It embodied the very essence of who he was as a person.
I reached for the handle, opening the door to a quiet, dark atmosphere. Ghost was yet again right behind me. I didn't know why he wanted to help clean my dress up, maybe he felt bad it was his drink that landed on me.
I turned around, watching as his eyes lingered on me from his mask. "I'm just going to change, it's all over me."
He stepped forward, his eyes never leaving mine. I looked up to him, overwhelmed by the sense of smallness in his towering figure. Each time he stepped forward, I took a step back. I eventually hit a dead end, my back hitting the cool surface of the wall behind me. He closed any space we had between us, placing a hand above my head as his other rested by his side.
His raspy voice sent chills down my spine, the bourbon on his breath heightened my senses.
"You started this." He trailed off. My heart rate quickened by the second, not knowing what his actions were at the moment. Was I going to get punished because of my actions with Valeria?
My eyes fell to the ground, not wanting to get into it with him because of what I did. "Listen, if this is about Valeria I-" He stopped me from talking, taking the hand at his side, curling his finger and pushing my chin to look up at him. "This isn't about Valeria."
He lifted my chin up even more, his eyes wandering back and forth while he looked at me. I could tell he was thinking. The air around us was thick, his body was so close to mine we were basically touching.
"You shouldn't leave things unfinished, Hattie." My breath hitched, I loved the way my name slid off of his tongue so easily.
There was a moment of tense silence. Slowly, the hand that was cupping my chin left, leaving a cold chill that made me want his hand back where it was. Fuck, what is he doing to me?
His hand grabbed the top of his mask, slowly taking it off. The piece of cloth dropped to the floor. I stared at the ground before I slowly inched my eyes up to his face. The room remained dark, the only light we had was coming from the moon, casting shadows that followed the contours of his defined jaw. I strained my eyes to even catch a glimpse of him, but his figure was barely visible to me. But the dirty blonde hair I could see looked messy, strands of hair standing up that perfectly fit his face.
I badly wanted to see his whole face, but I knew this was a very big step for him. I knew not to overstep my boundaries.
His hand yet again found my chin, slowly sliding up the side of my jaw. The gentle graze of his touch sent a shiver cascading down my spine, that left a lingering electrifying sensation that spread all around my body.
The tiny bit of space between our bodies was no more. His eyes found their way down to my lips. His gaze lingered on mine for a split second, almost hesitating, fighting himself before he caved in. Our lips met, transporting me into an entirely new realm of sensation when his hand traveled to the back of my head, a tight grip caused me to have another wave of an electrifying jolt in my body.
It felt like before, my body melted into the kiss as our tongues danced around each other, fighting for more. My hands found their way to the sides of his waist, letting them rest on the top of his belt. My heart was racing, I didn't care about a single thing going on. It was just us in this very moment.
