I woke up, I momentarily forgot the last few days as his scent filled my lungs, it was peaceful. Then everything flooded back to me, the pain and the memories, I lifted my head slightly, catching a glimpse of the sunlight before burying my head back into his chest.
I never wanted to move, but I wanted him to have a fighting chance this weekend, I tapped his chest, looking up at his face.
"Nope, I'm not going" He shook his head not opening his eyes.
"Yes, you are" He squinted at me "I want you to"
"I don't want to leave you though" He ran his fingers through my hair.
"I'll be ok, honestly" I began to move and get out of the bed.
"Your bruises" I looked at him "They're nearly all gone"
"Thank fuck for that" I bent down to get my clothes out my suitcase, but all the blood rushed to my head, I had to stand back up straight again.
"Are you ok?" He sat up.
"Yeah, blood went to my head to fast, I'm gonna go brush my teeth" I walked into the bathroom closing the door behind me.
I looked into the mirror, he was right they were barely there any more, they were visible but no where near as bad as over the last few days. I brushed my teeth and went back into the room.
"I'm going to take you back to Max and Kelly's in a minute, I think there is people there already" I nodded, squatting slowly this time to get clothes.
I picked out some comfy clothes, putting them on whilst Charles got dressed.
I put on actual clothes instead of whatever else I had on, the necklace and perfume were just to make me feel better. This jumper also had a high neck, meaning I could look at myself without the bruises.
"Come on then Etoile" He took my hand and led me to the other room, they had left the door open so we could just walk in. Charles closed it behind us.
Isa, Heidi, Lily, George, Max and Kelly were all in the living room. Kelly got up and gave me a hug.
"How are you babe?" She held my hand "You look happier today"
"I feel it to be honest, I mean my bruises are really fading and I got properly dressed this morning" We sat back in there living room "When have you guys got to go for practice?" I directed the question to the boys.
"Ten minutes" Max said looking at his wrist watch.
"Are you sure you're okay with me going? I'll happily skip" Charles was sat next to me, his arm over my shoulder, I was playing with his ring.
"Yeah, I want you to race this weekend, I'll be watching"
"Mark will be here before we leave yeah? I want him to be here before I go" Charles asked Max.
