It's the day before our wedding and Charles is staying in a hotel nearby with the groomsmen whilst the bridesmaids and I are staying at my house, I've been awfully busy so far in the wedding prep, it's supposed to be the summer break.
I'm still just so glad the day is so nearly here I've been waiting for what feels like a life time.
I have technically four bridesmaids not including George as my man of honour, but we also added Lucky to walk down the aisle to make the numbers even with the groomsmen.
I've planned it out so that George is walking out with Pierre as they're man of honour and best man , Kelly and Max, Oscar and Gloria, Enzo with Aaliyah (Mia and Tyler were going to come but they couldn't make it), Arthur is with their mum and then I've got Lando walking Lucky down. I love being the basic white lady with her dog in the ceremony.
Today I have a spa day booked for all of us but I told George he doesn't have to come if he doesn't want to, he faked apprehension but of course he's joining us. Gloria and I tag teamed making breakfast this morning and we're currently on the way to the spa which is like a half and hour away, I have Kelly and I in my car whilst all the others are in George's Mercedes.
"I can't wait for this" Kelly sighed.
"It's been a freaking while, is it your mum that has P?" I said she can bring her but Kelly didn't want the stress.
"Yeah, I think my brother is taking her out at some point though"
"That's nice of him" I smiled. "I think all of Gloria's grandkids are coming, I have a feeling it might be a bit chaotic, but it wouldn't be my wedding without chaos"
"Chaos is your middle name Mrs Leclerc" I giggled at the name.
"Mrs Alonso-Leclerc, I'm double barrelling I've decided"
"Fair enough, are you going to post on the day?"
"Of course, I don't expect everyone else to bother but I feel like I should share it with the world, as long as no one tags the location of the reception" I can't have the location being public knowledge, God knows who would show up.
"Yeah, and what about like filming and stuff?"
"I'm pretty relaxed with it just don't get me crying from a bad angle for Christs sake" We both laughed.
"I was terrified you were going to be bride-zilla, but you're ten times more chill than I expected you to be, I mean when I eventually get married, I'm shamelessly going crazy" I smirked.
"I think the only thing I'm like strict on is like dress code like, I swear if someone shows up in like something rank and ruins the photos, that'll irritate me, everyone's been good though, I've had so many messages asking if their outfit was all good"
"It's because like over half the guests are public figures, they know how to dress code it" She had a point.
We got to the spa before everyone else, so I checked us in and then waited in the lobby for them, they took a good ten minutes longer than us even though we left at like the same time.
"What took ya'll so long?" I asked George when they finally arrived.
"George thought he knew better than someone who lives here and went the wrong way" Gloria shot George a look.
"It wasn't me it was the freaking satnav, good lord, crucify me" He put his hands up.
The whole spa day was a really nice break from the regularly scheduled madness that has been the last two weeks. I love being busy but it's a million times better kicking back with a glass of (non-alcoholic) champagne that I didn't have to watch my fiance in a possibly deadly race to achieve.
