A recently finished debut novel is brought to us by a talented new author titled Amongst The Waking Dreams. The title alone builds intrigue within the readers' mind and the summary is wonderfully informatory though the cover could use some work to make it more appealing.
Something very notable about this book is the prologue that starts the book. It is a very well written piece that makes us feel as if we're being pulled into the book as we read along. I commend the author for their good work at the introduction. As we move on to the first chapter, the author very helpfully and might I add, skilfully explained the various terms, creatures and customs in the Faerie world. It was great for the readers as it quickly helped us to get up to speed with what we'd come across in the book.  
The way that the Author brought out the main character, Nymeria's personality to life was very well done and it was also very nice getting insight on what life as a human amongst Fae was like for her. The Author made her completely relatable and yet so different from the real world that we were even more curious to get a look into this new world.
The first few chapters were very good for introductory chapters and they maintained a very lovely pace. As we neared the last few chapters, it was great to see a bit of action and dramatic scenes. They gauged our attention and left us wanting more. The Author's ability to create a new world, completely different from the one we know brings this book a level of originality and creativity that most books lack and this makes it even more desirable to read.
In conclusion, this book is off to a good start and readers would definitely be interested in reading more. The Author did a great job.
