The Depth Of People is a short story within the drama genre. It is a wholesome story with brief mention of important topics ranging from forgiveness to loss.

Although the book is well paced and manages to keep us reading, the introductory statements and chapters could do with some livening up. This gets the reader actively waiting for the climax. I suggest that the author work on the opening remarks along with the summary so as to catch the readers' attention.

It is lovely how the main character's relationship with her neighbours developed and seeing the dynamics of her life was also great. The author's ability to paint a mental picture in our minds with their detailed descriptions is truly commendable and makes the book come to life. The way the author did not shy away from topics like loss and family disputes was great and how they did not bring it out such that it became for mature audiences alone along with the absence of profanity makes this book suitable for all age groups.

This short story has quite a good plot, with a surprising twist that I honestly did not expect. As it is portrayed from the view point of a child, the diction is quite good and not overly complex. There are some points at which the author should go over though because of the spelling and grammatical errors.

In conclusion, The Depth Of People  is one of the rare beauties out there and with a little more refinements, could do very well.
