'If you do me the honor to be mines, I'll be yours...'
Tremaine
The remainder of Laive's day was on him. She got out of dance rehearsal around 10 AM and Trey text her confirmations for a private shopping appointment at Hermes and Chanel, and then scheduled two hours for her to spend at her favorite spa. Tremaine gave Laive's stylist for clothing specific instructions to dress her in white. Preferably a dress that was modest and seductive. One that was form hugging in silhouette, crafted of Italian silk or charmeuse satin that she loved, and easily complimented by a red lip.
Tremaine arrived at her high-rise fifteen minutes after Laive left for her 8 AM meeting with Mackson and the label. His first and only time not attending to let the florists in to Laive's place. Accomplishing the set up in a few hours was a mighty task that required a team of twelve to fifteen people. Bouquets and cascading spirals of Gardenia Peonies and Roses with hues of sand, blush, and warm ivory were going to cover her living room and kitchen once she arrived home later to get dressed. The floral and candle set up was eighty percent complete for his location due to them working on it the last two days. There was a separate team designated for that by the planner. He was going to check in around one for a final walk through.
Tremaine cleared Laive's counter of the empty cans of ginger ale, saltine crackers, and a jar of pickle juice? His mind went in over drive trying to figure out why Laive hadn't said anything about being sick. Her terrible migraines or throwing up on her period would cause her to drink ginger ale and eat saltine crackers. But a jar of pickle juice? She didn't even eat pickles like that and never had a random craving for them.
"It's been so hard keeping this from her!" Javeah smirked.
Both of L's best friends were there to help oversee that things went according to plan once Tremaine left to make sure the next task was complete. Javeah and Saniye were dressed casually in black short sleeve shirts and black sweats.
"For real, she calls at the most inconvenient times." Saniye added. "She tried FaceTiming us yesterday before we got on our flight."
"Thank y'all so much for coming and helping out." Trey smiled. "She gone go crazy when she see y'all."
"You know her mom-"
Tremaine cut Javeah off immediately, "I already handled 'dat."
"Oop!" Saniye giggled. "They said you don't play about her."
"I don't." Looking over himself in the full length mirror, Trey swept his hands over the top of his high top curly fade. He'd cut his hair for this moment because he didn't have time to curse Laive out about playing because she was trying to roast him. "That's my baby."
Trey let the sky settle into evening while watching the clouds fade into softer tints of blue on the scenic drive to Laive's. Trey faked to change plans from a romantic dinner with a private chef to one of Beverly Hills most prominent steak houses to pull them both outside the walls of their homes. Tremaine realized he couldn't be there without being reminded of L's presence and small touches. Remnants of her aura were all over the place. He was going to ask her tonight why she was able to sleep without him for the last few days. But it worked out for the better because everything he planned was falling into place without the extra worry of keeping Laive busy while with him.
He'd gotten a call from their personal shoppers at Hermes and Chanel informing him that Laive didn't purchase anything, just browsed and perused the show rooms. He inquired what items she looked at and asked for one in every color to have wrapped and delivered to his home before the end of the day.
Mackson's name popped up on the car's touch screen as an incoming call. After greeting him with a what's up, Mack said he was checking in to tell him how Laive held her own in a room full of executives. Said certain things that hadn't been disclosed about touring and registering the live set list for royalties but didn't look to be ok the remainder of the morning.
