Laive

Wednesday-August 1

Javeah and Laive boarded the plane at 2:21 in the afternoon and arrived at McCarran International Airport around 3:22 PM. L and Veah had stuffed their large luggage with everything from heels to highlighter, and they were sure Saniye followed suit. Laive even brought her Cannon Rebel to capture video and photos. She planned on taking HD pictures of all of them looking like whole meals slaying on the strip. Saniye would already be at the hotel when they arrived due to her flight landing much earlier than theirs.

"Lai..." Javeah laughed as they struggled with their bags, "You think we over packed?"

Laive was laying low in her all white sweats, a blush fitted cap, and her gold reflective aviators. L's waist length  hair was in a bone straight ponytail as she snickered. Readjusting the camera bag on her shoulders, L smirked. "Nah. We good."

Javeah giggled in agreement, "You right!"

Laive was excited that they were all able to take a girl's trip. It had been eight years since graduation. Outside of select holidays, getting all three of them together never worked out. Javeah was in the airforce, Saniye was a full time student, and Laive was always busy with medical school. They all needed a vacation, and Laive's birthday happen to be the icing on the cake. They tried to plan it earlier in the summer, but August made the cut. L saw that as a sign. Finally! She was going to be able to celebrate her Birthday with people who appreciated and loved her and Laive felt the same way...with her best friends.

"Saniye ain't even answering the phone!"

As the driver quickly helped put their bags in the trunk, they sat in the backseat anxiously waiting to be driven to the hotel. They were booked to spend 5 nights at the Bellagio, right in the center of the Las Vegas Strip. After their complementary drive to the private check in lounge, Laive couldn't take the grin off her face. She had dreamed of being able to afford and visit hotels like these. Most of her family had been to Vegas, but she had never gone. They left her out of a few vacations or sabotaged her travel arrangements...but that was a story for another time. She was getting ready to have the time of her life!

While checking in, Laive was inhaling the fresh scents of complimentary coffee, tea, Laver wines, assorted mini quiches, cheeses, and fruits. Even though she could have gone all out, she didn't. Laive wasn't going to be a fool with her money. Everyone was going to be staying in the penthouse suite. Laive caught it on sale while the booking was 20% off.

"Laive...you want one of these?" Javeah was eating a quiche, "Either they taste really good or I'm just hungry as hell."

The VIP lounge was decked out with stunning marble counter tops with floral rugs that had dark oak lined furniture and doorways. Stepping into the stainless steel all-suite access elevators, Laive inserted her VIP Platinum Bellagio Room card, and pressed the 35th floor. Smoothly riding up, Laive asked Javeah, "Saniye didn't text me back yet. You think she sleep?"

"Doubt it. Her ass probably drunk."

"I believe you."

The hallway was filled with floral embossed walls and carpets of violet and lavender. L took an immediate right and made her way towards the end of the guest rooms.

The door beeped and clicked open after Laive removed the card. Javeah closed the door behind as Laive awed at the high ceilings of the lavish and plush living area. L's tennis shoes squeaked on the marble tile flooring while she gasped at the gorgeous L-shaped, deep violet sectional. It was paired with white, grey, and lavender lined pillows, along with accented ones of deep navy blue. Laive slowly ran her fingertips across the armrest...
