Little kids are innocent
They are just absorbed in their happy lives
They skip and laugh and play all day
Without one care in the world
I wish we could all stay so happy and innocent
But unfortunately we can't
As we get older, things begin to change
We are exposed to the bad side of the world
Wars, violence, harassment, poverty, selfishness, and much more
Yet there are still the innocent
That have fun all day
And sing and twirl around in the sun
And not worry about what's to come
They stay in the moment
Not thinking about the past or future
Just about now
There are people who try to learn to be innocent again
Most fail
Some succeed
Some people get a voice
And stand up for what's right
Then they become our angels, our saviors
There are two very different sides of this world
The innocent
And the guilty
So what word would you think of to describe this world best?
It is not good nor bad,
It just is
