I put walls up
Protect them with all my might
For those keep my secrets
I only let my walls down for the people that I trust most
I almost never leave my walls unguarded
So you would be lucky if you ever caught me
I need my walls to remain strong,
Never to crumble or break
They may need mending often
And those lucky ones who manage to break down my walls,

That you are very special
I am afraid to let my walls down
In fear of being hurt
In fear of letting in the right person
In fear of being manipulated
In fear of falling in love
But the things that I leave unprotected,
Are buried deep within my soul
