THEY'D ARRIVED ON THE outskirts of a little ski town nestled in the mountains. The sign said WELCOME TO CLOUDCROFT, NEW MEXICO.

The air was cold and thin. The roofs of the cabins were heaped with snow, and dirty mounds of it were piled up on the sides of the streets. Tall pine trees loomed over the valley, casting pitch black shadows, though the
morning was sunny.

Lilith was thankful that she had magic, because by the time they got to Main Street— which was about half a mile from the train tracks—it was freezing.

Lilith thought about the dream. Of course she recognised the garden. It was the same garden that had earned her a spot as a hero in the Greek camp. She remembered the dragon which was the least friendlist creature she ever met. She did indeed remembered her encounter with her half sister, which was one of the worst encounter with a sibling she ever had.

As they walked, Lilith told Zoe about her conversation with Apollo the night before—how he'd told me to seek out Nereus in San Francisco.

Zoe looked uneasy. "That's good, I guess. But we've got to get there first."

Lilith sneaked a glance at the huntress. She could see how Zoe's eyes screamed authority, how Zoe held herself high as if she is superior then other.

Just like her half sister.

Lilith's eyes widened as she sucked a deep breath. She could see the resemblance. She could see uncanny similarities.

Now it was all adding up. Zoe and her half sister are siblings too. Zoe is the Daughter of Atlas, Lilith thought as her eyes kept widening, ‘Meaning that Altas is free and he is the General! Means Artemis is holding up The Sky.’

"Fuck." Lilith muttered, her face sheet white as her hands trembled a little.

"What?" Marcus asked, who was standing just near her. He looked at her with a raised eyebrow as he saw her eyes brightening a little, he remembered something then.

Marcus huffed as he threw a stone in the river Timber, "How do you always know I am up to something?"

Jason laughed, his head tipped back as he stared at the horizon, "Because of Lilith."

Marcus rose a brow at him, "Meaning?"

Jason looked at him, his blond hairs falling over his blue eyes as he bite his lips, "Lilith. She used to get a look in her eyes whenever she figures something out."
