|| CHAPTER TWENTY THREE ||❝ LOSING GAME ❞
PERCY WAS DEBATING WHETHER LILITH KNEW ABOUT THEIR PROPHENCY OR NOT.He wanted to tell her, tell her that she is his and he is hers.
But he couldn't.
Aphrodite had warned him not to say anything to Lilith and let the time handle it all.
Lilith didn't knew what was the conclusion from all the things that Aphrodite said. She just knew that she was supposed to end up with Percy and she had just lost her sister.
She didn't knew wheather to be happy or to be sad. She didn't knew if Percy knew about it or not.
‘If he knew, he would have told me yet.’ Lilith thought as she shook her head.
Marcus was the least of the shock one. He already knew that Annabeth will be someone important for him. Son of Cupid had it's perks.
"What did she want with you?" Bianca asked, once Percy told them about Aphrodite.
"Oh, uh, not sure," Percy lied. "She said to be careful in her husband's junkyard. She said not to pick anything up."
Zoe narrowed her eyes. "The goddess of love would not make a special trip to tell thee that. Be careful, you three. Aphrodite has led many heroes astray."
"For once I agree with Zoe," Thalia said. "You can't trust Aphrodite."
Grover was looking at Percy funny. Being empathic and all, he could usually read his emotions, and he got the feeling he knew exactly what Aphrodite had talked to him about.
Thalia turned to Lilith and Marcus who were staring up at the sky, "I saw Ares giving some special treatment to you both. What was it all about?"
Lilith's gaze snapped at the Daughter of Zeus. Her mind reeled back to what Ares said but she shook her head. "Just casual. Bloodshed and Wars."
Percy was shocked to see the sudden change in her. Her eyes weren't even slightest red and her regal aura was back like she hadn't been crying few miuntes ago.
"So," Marcus said as he saw Percy observing Lilith's split of emotions. "how do we get out of here?"
"That way," Zoe said. "That is west."
Percy turned to her, "How can you tell?"
Lilith rolled her eyes. Her eyes were glowing brightly in the moonlight and her raven hairs were gently flowing back like waves, her skin was glowing faintly too. "Ursa Major is in the north," she said, "which means that must be west."
She pointed west, then at the northern constellation. Percy stared at her for good few minutes before following her sight and squinted at the sky. It hard to make out because there were so many other stars.
