"What the hell happened?" Were the only words I could get out of my mouth as I looked around the room. Everything was blurry and I don't think my throat had ever been this dry.

"You're awake, are you okay? What's your name, what day is it? Elliot is going to be so pissed he's not here." Parker excitedly rattled off as she grabbed my hand.

"Carter Ford or Spencer I don't know. How long have I been out? I need water." I barely croaked as Parker quickly got me a drink. She just kept staring at me.

"It's been almost two weeks." She said quietly as she held the straw for me. "Elliot and I take shifts with you, Hardison makes us eat and go home and stuff."

"How is Elliot?" I asked while Parker raised the bed for me. "He must be going nuts."

"Angry, scared, Dad is here helping. He went to go get you a teddy bear. I told him you liked them, he's been here for three days straight. He wouldn't even go back with Hardison." She whispered quietly as she brushed my hair from my eyes. "I brush your hair, and I even painted your nails."

"You're a good big sister." I smiled as she grabbed my hand again. "The vial, did you find it?"

"Yeah, we did, we got him." She said with a smile. "It was more money than we could've imagined. Enough to help the people he hurt and we have money left over. Carter it was nearly two billion dollars."

"That's, we did it?" I looked at her in awe, we were soon interrupted by the opening door before I could ask anything else.

"You're awake? Parker why didn't you call me?" Nate was smiling trying to hide his exhausted face, a teddy bear in hand.

"I'm so sorry I scared you." I apologized as he quietly set the bear on the bed. He looked so worried, I hate it.

"Parker suggested it." He mumbled as he looked at the bear, he couldn't look directly at me. It was probably because of Sam.

"I love him dad, thank you. Someone should probably call Elliot." I picked up the bear smiling at the little bowtie around his neck. The second Nate turned to Parker. I went to pull out my IV.

"He's already on his way I just spoke to him. Carter, stop." Nate quickly reached out pulling my hand away. "You almost died, you spent I don't even know how long coding when you got here."

"I'm fine, get a nurse then. I'm out of here, I don't like hospitals and I don't want to be here longer than I have to be." I complained as he refused to let me pull it out.

"Parker go talk to the doctors while I talk her down." Nate  used his dad voice on us both, Parker just nodded walking out of the room leaving him sighing. "Is this about Jaclyn?"

"Yeah, Jaclyn, I don't do hospitals." I barely whispered holding onto the bear for dear life.

"I know, it was the same for me after Sam died. Sitting here next to my kids bed again, I'm so glad you're awake." Nate's voice was near breaking as he held my hand. "I hadn't prayed since the last time I was in this position, but I just spent the last twenty minutes on my knees in the chapel."

"I'm okay, so maybe someone was listening. I'll be fine. Probably, I can move my legs, doesn't feel like I had major surgery." I mumbled trying to make it less horrific than it was.

"Broken ribs, fractured ankle and sternum, hairline skull fracture and a subdural hematoma." Elliot's voice rang out from the doorway. "You stopped breathing four times on the way to the hospital. Four times. You coded off and on for almost an hour once we got here."

"But we got him." I smiled trying to still lighten the mood.

"Do you think I give a shit about that?" Elliot was agitated with me, far more than it felt like he should've been.
