"Yeah? I'll throw you in with the pigs."
"You will not!" Sebastian laughed.
"I so would. You guys could be friends." I teased.
"You're crazy."
A bit ahead of us was an odd wet noise. A green ball jumped over in our direction.
"What the hell is that?" Sebastian questioned, slowly putting out his finished smoke.
"One of those things, I've seen them a bit, mostly in that old mine. Be careful though, they get riled up real quick. Don't even let it know you're there." I cautioned. I grabbed on his jacket and pulled him back with me quietly. We really don't need one of these ruining this nice little walk.
A branch snaps under him.
"Really? Number one thing you'll see in movies or read about in this type of situation is exactly what you just did." I rushed out quite panicked.
"Shit I know I know, sorry sorry."
"Well let's go cause I don't have anything to deal with it!" I grabbed him and took off.
Usually I wouldn't expect to run into one of these at this time. I put all my tools and weapons in their respective holders once I deem my day 'finished' in terms of farm work, hunting, you know the works. So considering I'm pretty empty handed and I don't think a pack of smokes is going to do much, we're running.
We take off back to my house, I push him inside and slam the door shut, locking it in the process. I doubt they could actually turn a handle since all they do is bounce but you never know. I light a candle as soon as I get a grasp on my surroundings. I don't like using electricity, especially when it's really not necessary so I resort to fire and candles and whatnot.
"I don't think i've ever run that fast before. Do you think I could get a cup of water?" Sebastian huffs. This kid is really out of shape to be honest. It's understandable but damn.
"Yeah yeah, let me get that for you. make yourself comfortable." He sits himself down at the table while I grab him his water. I glance over at the window, a swarm. A whole load of those things, just everywhere.
"What on earth? Are you seeing this?" I asked.
"Seeing what?" He turns around and peers out the window. More and more just surrounding my house. "Oh, what on earth?"
"That's what I said! What's going on with them? I've never seen this before."
"Neither have I, and I used to take walks most days of the week around here. It's like a swarm, or a huddle? I have no idea." I set his water now in front of him and walk back over to the window.
"So, how are we going to get you out of here?" brainstorming time. We could just sprint out. He could stay behind me while I fight off the majority and he'll slip out and run home, human sacrifice.
"Do you mind if I just crash here for tonight? Just to be safe." Oh. Well that wasn't one of my plans.
"Yeah sure, that's no problem at all. If you want to get some sleep now, you take my bed." I'll just grab some blankets and a pillow, crash on the sofa.
"Alright, thank you. I appreciate it."
"You're welcome. I want you dying or anything out there." He laughed a bit at that and went to the bathroom.
I walked over to the sofa, plopped down, grabbed the remote and turned on the television. News, basketball, baseball, football, all highlights from the previous games. Then I got to the cartoons. Gumball, Chowder, ah- Steven Universe. Smoky Quartz is making the first appearance. I hear the light switch off in the bathroom and the door opens.
"Is that Steven?!" Sebastian yells and practically throws himself over the sofa, bumping into me in the process. He crosses his legs, criss-cross applesauce style. I start laughing at his childish nature. He's dark, mysterious, a bit brooding at first glance, even then when before you really get to meet him. You'd never expect him to be so, colorful? I don't know if that is the right term to use here.
Some time passes. By some time, I mean 6 episodes, about 25 minutes long each. We're both starting to fall asleep. After some more time I feel some sudden pressure on my shoulder. He's dead asleep. I'd better not move now, it's late and he does need his sleep.
I continue watching the show until my eyes feel too heavy to lift. Goodnight Sebastian.

Yayy, another part without a 2 months delay! I think I might be able to continue writing with little to no issues. I did just start college again for another term as a full time student and I have a part time job so I thought it wasn't going to be real easy to manage this as well but I just might pull it off. This one part did take me a bit to write, 2-3 days I believe BUT it's out anyways. If I do fall behind again, I apologize, most likely because of schooling. I'm thinking, next term I might try and find a writing course to take. I'm a psychology major but am currently taking 2 English classes. Maybe I'll keep up the literature and make the stories better for you guys :)
