BROOKLYN had a tough few days. She felt helpless about Jackie's whole situation. Ezra spent more time with her than with Brooke, and it seemed that he actually enjoyed her company. Brooklyn spent most of her time waiting for Ezra in his office as he grew more and more distant. However, she spent the majority of her time by herself, and the writing club was the only thing that kept her from getting bored. But, since Ezra promised to take Brooklyn out on a date after the Jackie incident. They had a normal conversation more than two weeks prior, and she was unable to decline this offer.

The early morning chill lingered in the air, giving way to the warm embrace of the rising sun. Brooklyn sat hunched over in a chair outside a nondescript office in Hollis College. She clutched her phone, eyes glued to the screen, her breath misting the glass. The message she had just received was from Ezra, the professor she had been eagerly waiting to see. "Hi there, I can't make it. Jackie needs help with papers," it read. Her heart sank, the coldness of the metal chair seeping into her skin.

With a sigh, she shoved her phone back into her pocket and stood up. The hallways of Hollis College were a maze of academic ambition and social stratification, and she had to navigate both as she walked to the writing club room. The walls, adorned with flyers for various events and club meetings, whispered of a world she had only begun to explore. Her footsteps echoed through the hallway, the only sound in the early-morning calm.

Entering the writing club room, she saw Logan sitting at a computer in the corner. His eyes flickered up to meet hers, and she felt a spark of curiosity in his gaze. He was a mysterious character, known for his sharp wit and even sharper tongue. His presence in the club was a constant reminder that not everyone's story was an open book.

"Hey Lynn," a message popped up on her laptop screen, and she jumped. It was from an anonymous user, which was odd since she was the only one in the room. She narrowed her eyes and read on. "I've got a proposition for you." She looked around again, heart racing. The room was empty except for the two of them.

Without thinking, she replied, "Shoot."

Logan pushed his chair back and approached her, a knowing smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "I will help you with your article.Get you the inside scoop. You just have to agree few conditions"

Brooklyn's eyes widened. "What conditions?" she responded, her voice a mix of curiosity and skepticism.

Logan leaned in closer, his expression serious. "The first conditions is you have to agree before you know the conditions. What do you say, Lynn? You in or out?"
