TV: "Jury selection is expected to conclude today and defense attorney Veronica Hastings and Charles Hart made a statement to reporters this morning"
Just then, a familiar face flashed across the screen.It was Charles,Brook scoffed,unable to even look at him.
"Our client is emotionally exhausted,but he is relived to know he is finally going to have the opportunity to clear his name" Charles leaned to the microphone,the smirk in his face.God,she wanted to punch him in his face.But there was something about him talking about the case,he actually enjoyed the case.
"Turn it off" Brooklyn groaned,pointing at the screen with a look of disbelief. "Just seeing his face gives me headache „
Spencer pointed the controller at the TV report they'd been half-listening to and she turn it off the volume "So the dinner didn't go as it was planned ?" She sighed and shot her a knowing glance.
"I didn't have better dinner in my life" Brooke said,sarcastically, shifting uncomfortably,
"Really ?That's good" Hanna's brow furrowing in surprise.
"No,Hanna it was horrible" Brooke chuckled and rolled her eyes. "No the word horrible is not enough"
"Outrageous ?" Spencer gestured with a finger while grinning.Brooke leaned back in her seat, sighing."More like ridiculous"
"So tell us what happened"Hanna perched on the chair's edge with worry. "Did he explain the night ,when the body went missing ?"
"He gave us speech about college and all that" Brooke set down the can of soda and shut the fridge door. "And then I asked him about it"
"In front of Logan ?" Spencer leaned over the kitchen counter with winded eyes.
"No gosh"Brooke shook herhead. "He said I was drunk and he saw me,so he saved me"
"You believe him ?" Hanna tilted her head
"No,he can be charming but that man is lying" Brooke frowned her brows."There is no way i was drunk,i wasn't drinking that night"
