The House Targaryen had been reduced to five siblings, at first, Duncan Targaryen, who gave up the throne for his wife, Jaehaerys II Targaryen, who married his sister, Sheara Targaryen, leaving Daeron Targaryen, the fourth-born son, and Rhaelle Targaryen, who married Ormund Baratheon.
From Jaehaerys II and Shaera only two children were born, Aerys II and Rhaella Targaryen, who wed each other at a young age, in the year 257 AC. And it would seem that from Aerys and Rhaella's union the Targaryen Dynasty seemed to be reborn, or rather that's what the people of Westeros believed.
The first child of the union of Aerys II and Rhaella was Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, at Summerhall in the Year 259 AC, the same day of the tragedy, nicknamed the Silver Prince, his hair was silver-blond, like his mother's, and his eyes like grapes.
He was followed by an early miscarriage, in the year 263, which was instantly followed by a second child, Princess Aemma Targaryen, born in King's Landing in the Year 264 AC, nicknamed the Winter Princess, for her birth had brought forth a harsh winter, her hair was as white as the Snow the coated the Wall that separated them from the True North and eyes that looked like the lavender that grew in the garden of the Red Keep.
The third-born child was a stillborn babe, Princess Shaena Targaryen, in the year 267 AC, followed by a fourth-born child, Prince Daeron Targaryen, born in the year 269 AC, who died half a year later of the shivers.
The fifth-born child was a deformed babe that came three months too soon named Maeryn, in the year 270, followed by an early miscarriage in 271. A sixth child, Aegon Targaryen was born in the last month of the year of 272 AC, two months premature, and didn't live long.
He was followed by the seventh-born child, Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen, in the year 274 AC, who unfortunately died the same year, something that seemed to drive his father into further madness.
A descent that slowed down ever so slightly when the eighth-born child, Prince Viserys Targaryen, was born in the year 276 AC and survived past the first year of his life, earning him the nickname the Realm's Hope, his hair as white as his sister's and eyes as dark as his brother's.
