The first three years of Robert and Aemma's rule was peaceful enough. Robert immersed himself with the politics of the realm and the aid that his new Council provided in regards of helping the realm heal from his rebellion, while Aemma continued to go out into the city and make first hand contributions to the economy, taking her children with her.

At first Rhaenys hadn't been pleased with the birth of Edd Baratheon, something that Aemma had attributed to the fact that she was still recovering from losing Aegon. Which by the time Edd had turned one, seemed to be correct as the Targaryen Princess was as protective as Aemma when it came to Edd.

The distance between Aemma and Cersei had closed when Cersei birthed her firstborn with the new master of Laws, Cedric Lefford,  in 285 AC. And while Cersei still wasn't fond of walking around the streets of King's Landing, she did start joining Aemma and her children on her walks.

286 AC brought with it two new additions to the rulling Baratheon family, twins. Babes who unlike their older brother, looked completely Valyrian, from the pale pink colour on their skins to the pale silver colour of their tuffs of hair.

Their births were much like their older brother, long and painful and in scorching chambers, however, unlike with the birth of Edd, Robert was no where to be found in the Keep, having decided to go hunting while his wife gave birth.

Seeing as their bond had gotten better, Cersei was no longer with Rhaenys when Aemma gave birth, instead Rhaenys and Edd were left with Prince Stannis, who had traveled to be present for his good sister's labour, the only other person other than Septa Josie, Maester Melvan and Cersei that Aemma trusted with her children.

The room had been mostly quiet as Aemma was changed and fed her newborns.

"What will you call them?" Cersei questioned, holding one of the babes in her arms while Aemma fed the other.

"For the boy," Aemma started, looking at the babe in Cersei's arms, "I was thinking Joffrey, and for the girl, Jocelyn." Septa Josie and Maester Melvan worked together to record the information about the babes at birth, including their hair, skin colour, weight and name.

"Beautiful names." Maester Melvan complimented as he recorded them, making Aemma smile slightly.

Despite being only twenty and two years of age, and now with 4 children under her belt, 3 of which she birthed herself, Aemma couldn't help but think back to Elia and her mother, women that she wanted there each time she went into labour. Women that were dead but had still left a huge impact on Aemma.

"You don't want to name them with a Targaryen name?" Cersei questioned with a slight frown, she knew that Edd had been named as such by his father, but she was confused as to why Aemma didn't take advantage of the fact that Robert wasn't in the Keep to dictate her choices.
