Lord Brandon Stark arrived in King's Landing on the first day of the second moon of the year, believing the Crown Prince to be bold and take his younger sister to the capitol of the Seven Kingdoms. He crossed the gates to the Red Keep at nightfall, and plunged the Keep into terror as he beckoned the Crown Prince to come out and die for his actions.
Instead of the Crown Prince, it was the Mad King who appeared before Brandon Stark and his bannermen, he stood tall, his long nails looking like small, pointy spades, nearly looking like rats claws. It was in the green light of the wildfyre that kept the Keep warm that Brandon Stark accused his Crown Prince of kidnapping his only sister, claiming that the Prince cared not for procedure and duty as he did only what he wished.
And it was in the same light that King Aerys, surrounded by his Kingsguard, ordered that Brandon and his men be imprisoned on the charge of plotting the murder of his eldest child.
Due to Lord Brandon's accusations of the Crown Prince, King Aerys had no choice but to summon his daughter, his good-daughter, his grandchildren and their Ladies-in-waiting back from Dragonstone, wanting to put the rumours to death.
In the days that followed the summons for his family to return, the Mad King also had summons delivered to Lord Rickard Stark and the father of Brandon's companions, demanding that they come to King's Landing to explain their son's actions.
The family's return to the capitol was unsurprisingly not a smooth one, especially with a newborn babe that didn't seem to enjoy being on a boat.
The returning members of the Royal Family were greeted in the Throne Hall by the Royal Family and the small Council. Aemma dropped to a cursty first, holding the newborn babe expertly in her arms, Elia struggled to curtsy but did her best, Ashara and Cersei also both dropped to low curstsies, and even Rhaenys curstied cutely.
"Where is Rhaegar?" Aerys questioned angrily, making his daughter wince at his tone, but only briefly as she stood back up with a confused look on her face, one that matched Elia's.
"Is he not here?" Aemma questioned, looking around briefly, "He told us that he was traveling back to the Keep to inform you that Elia had birthed a healthy son."
Silence surrounded the hall, and even Aerys stilled at the news of the babe being a boy and being healthy. Slowly he beckoned his daughter to approach with the babe, he wanted to see if the boy smelled Dornish like his sister.
Elia watched frightfully, despite knowing that her son bore none of her Dornish features.
Aemma approached slowly, holding the babe expertly while lifting her skirts slightly as to not trip on the Iron Chair's sword steps. Aerys descented the steps, in a moment of paternal feelings, and met his only daughter at the foot of the steps. Aemma gently lifted the babe while pulling back the blanket from around the babe's head, allowing her father to see the whisps of silvery-blond hair and pale blue eyes that would no doubt later become a variation of purple as the babe aged.
