( this is placed AFTER Mayday saved Elliot from the forest. )Early morning— about 4 am, the sun wasn't even up yet. Through the beginning this newfound winter day, Mayday was already up and getting herself dressed and ready.
She pushed the door of her bedroom open with her foot as she tightened her bandolier- Mayday was moving quickly, not that she was in a hurry anything, that was just Mayday's usual mannerism.
This wasn't new from her, she was always notorious for making noise at night while everyone was asleep— although if you were smart to notice the pacing of her footsteps you can just tell if something was going on or not.
Elliot- fell victim to sound of the commotion, she rose awake sitting up a little groggy from her sleep.. the girl was a little irritated that she was so quickly woken up at such an absurd hour.
In the living room behind the couch lied a crack in the wall. Elliot found this crack on her own while exploring the house.
With her tiny size she's able to squeeze through it. The inside was parted by sections with boards of wood, this crack was a gateway to one of the sections...
Elliot slept and kept all her stuff in one of these sections, although it's a terrible place for her to live in; the smell is horrible, the floor isn't carpeted, Elliot is occasionally attacked by bugs, and there is barely any insulation— in conclusion it's overall very unsafe for a human like her, but Elliot is willing to go out of her away to stay away from her older sister as much as possible.
This time Elliot was curious, she grabbed her plaid jacket throwing it around her while she struggled to get her hand through the sleeve.
Mayday was spotted walking within the kitchen. She quickly turned over towards a cabinet, opening it to reveal some sort of stash of alcohol— Mayday grasped on a specific bottle laced into blue stained glass, the words on the label read 'Soplica Vodka'
With the bottle in her hand she popped the top off— and without hesitation drank directly from the bottle, she didn't bother with a cup.
Then Mayday had noticed something move in the corner of her eye as she drank, turning her head in that direction, she spotted Elliot.
" Ah, you're awake. Come now, we go to laundromat. "
Elliot jolted upon being so quickly discovered, she looked around for a moment before making a run towards the tv stand. She hid behind the tv stand's leg peaking out from it to speak to Mayday.
" W- why do I have to go..? " She softly whined.
With haste, Mayday approached the fridge that had some sort of calendar stuck to it with tape— with her finger she traced down towards today's date, the tiny box meant for reminders had the words " Electricity due! " in bold red letters.
" Shit.. " she murmured under her breath
Mayday turned back to her little sister only seeing the tiny human hiding from her. Her eyes narrowed as she placed the bottle of vodka down approaching the tv stand. Elliot had very yet to find out Mayday's dire addictions, and Mayday had forgotten a child was present.
" I don't trust you to stay here alone. "
" b- but I like being here.. alone. "
" Elliot you've only been here for a day. Why are you so afraid? "
Mayday questioned lowering herself to her knees across from Elliot's little hiding spot.Mayday assumed the girl was just afraid of the outside, the truth was that Elliot was just afraid of her. The idea of being near someone who was once so cruel and cold hearted, (and still is so harshly calculated) obviously didn't sit right with Elliot. The human was scared that at any moment Mayday will just pluck her from the ground and throw her out into the snow like she was nothing.
