JEFF POV
For today’s showcase, I’ll be singing 12 songs, including four covers. I hope everything goes smoothly. I really trust my favorite band, The Co-Ban, to back me up.
"Jeff, are you ready?"
"Yeah."
"We start in five minutes," my manager told me.
We opened with Highway, then moved into Comedy. I did a little bit of talking to introduce the band, then continued with the rest of the set.
...
I just finished the last of the songs. I changed into a white blouse with a large ribbon and black flare pants before heading back to the stage to take photos with the fans.
"Jeff, after this, you have three magazine interviews: Mint, Elle, and Vogue," my manager briefed me. "Vogue is featuring you for their main issue. They’ll ask about the showcase, your solo concerts, upcoming projects, and some personal questions. I think this outfit is perfect for the interviews; you just need a quick makeup touch-up."
"Okay, Phi."
...
The first was Elle; they just wanted some photos and a quick review of the showcase. Then came Mint for photos and short videos. Now, I’m sitting in the waiting room for the last interview. They are about ten minutes late.
"I’m so sorry, Khun Jeff," the coordinator from Vogue Thailand apologized. "We were waiting for our photographer. The one who was supposed to be here had an accident, so we had to find a replacement at the last minute. This is Mr. Bible, our photographer for today."
"Sawatdikap. Hi, we meet again today," I said.
"Sawatdikap, Khun Jeff. We meet again."
"Just call me Jeff."
"Okay, Jeff. To start, I want to take some photos of you backstage and some poses in the hall, followed by candid shots during the interview."
BIBLE POV
I was busy snapping photos of him. He didn’t have anyone accompanying him right now, and I noticed he needed help with his hair and the sweat on his brow.
"Jeff, you’re sweating."
"My makeup artist already left for another event, and my manager is still backstage," he explained.
"If you don’t mind... may I? I can wipe it and fix your hair for the shot."
"I really don't mind. You're the photographer; you know what looks best."
I took a pack of tissues from my bag and gently wiped away the sweat. We were so close. My heart was racing, and he smelled so good. As I touched his hair, my heart skipped a beat. I have to hold it together. Fenrir, you have to hold back.
"Bible, you’re so handsome," Jeff said suddenly. "If you were an actor or a supermodel, I think you’d be famous."
"It would be nice if you just called me Ben. I prefer taking the photos to being in them. I’m a bit shy, I think. Besides, if I were a model, I wouldn’t be able to take good photos of you—or maybe I wouldn’t have met you today."
"Hehe, maybe."
"Alright, three more shots and we can start the interview."
...
After the interview finished, I packed up my camera, ready to head out.
"Are you not going to wait for him, Ben?"
