Bible Wichapas Sumettikul-Midhunter was a professional photographer. One day he have a fashion photoshoot for a famous Singer and Actor, Jeff Satur. Maybe it's love at first sight maybe more than that.
Their love story is not a normal love story...
"I'm nervous. I feel like my pants are wet with sweat."
"Your hands are so cold," he noted softly.
I closed my eyes. "Yeah, I'm ready now." I held Jeff's hands tightly.
The Shaman came closer to us to perform the Rod Nam Sang (water pouring) ceremony. it was simple, reminiscent of a traditional Thai wedding, followed by the blessing of the Bai Sri Su Kwan (wrist binding).
"The groom may now say his vows," the Shaman said.
"I..." I couldn't hold back my tears. "I, Bible Wichapas Sumettikul Hunter, take Jeff Worakamon Satoe as my partner in life and soul from this day forward. For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do us part."
"Now, the other groom."
"I, Jeff Worakamon Satoe, will love you forever, until death do us part. In whatever condition, I will be loyal and faithful. I love you."
"You may now exchange rings."
Dad held the ring box out to us.
"The grooms may now kiss. You are officially husbands."
I cupped Jeff’s face with my hands, my tears still falling. I kissed his lips softly, and then again.
"I love you so, so much, my love."
"I love you more than you can imagine, my Baby Ben. My husband."
I couldn't focus on the clapping or the cheering; I could only focus on the person in front of me. We hugged, and I kissed his cheek.
"Phi, let’s take couple photos!"
Copper’s voice brought me back to reality.
"Oh, okay," I replied.
...
I held Jeff’s hand as we walked the jungle path. It was almost dark, but they had placed lights along the way. I didn't know what to say; I just focused on walking and looking at Jeff’s hand in mine.
"Erm... husband?" Jeff said playfully.
"Oh... haha. Hi, husband."
We both laughed.
"We are husbands now."
"It’s like a dream."
"Ben, thank you so much."
"For what, my love?"
"For completing my life. Without you, there was always something missing inside me."
"You completed my life, too."
"Thank you, my man from the moon."
"Thank you, the love of my life."
