She exited the room leading me to the kitchen where she turned the oven to 400 and pressed start. It now read preheat and she swiftly grabbed a pan of food from the fridge before putting it straight into the oven.
"So I prepared Broccoli Chicken Alfredo, garlic Tuscan bread, and" she paused digging around in the fridge before pulling out a bottle of Pinot Grigio "wine."
She grinned at me, her smile seemingly contagious as I smiled back.
"Sounds great, the entire place looks amazing." I paused, feeling a warmth spread through me unlike the previous times this was different, it was more affectionate and tender, "I really appreciate all the thought you put into this date and I'm sorry it got hijacked by all the dream drawing discussion and my unwarranted behavior towards you."
"No need to apologize, it's all a lot to take in don't you think?" She hummed with a shrug, "I mean it was pretty romantic when you basically called me the girl of your dreams, so that's a huge plus."
I felt my cheeks flame like the fire, "It's crazy to think that we're somehow cosmically connected by all of this."
Deja vu hit again.
"Well you did say you're more attracted to me than you've ever been to anyone." She shrugged lazily as though it were no biggie.
I laughed and rolled my eyes, "I probably should save myself the embarrassment and it's not like your ego needs a boost but I think I have to tell you regardless." I paused, sucking a breath in through my teeth "I actually am, like, super inexperienced."
I froze, unable to get the follow up sentence to come out.
"That's okay, that's not a bad thing." She stated, her tone even and her gaze holding understanding that set my mind slightly at ease, "Are you inexperienced with women, is that what you mean?"
I pursed my lips and shrugged "Well yes but I'm honestly just inexperienced in general. I've never actually really, like, even slept with anyone."
I could see the shock clear in face, I had definitely caught her off guard with that one. I mean it was rather surprising to be twenty five, let alone a famous Popstar, and still be a virgin.
"Never?" She questioned, almost breathless.
I bit my lip and shook my head feeling a wave of self consciousness consuming me.
"Sorry I'm just a bit surprised." She paused seemingly deep in thought "Have you ever kissed anyone?"
I could feel the heat rushing to my cheeks, "Yeah of course, I uh, I've kissed a few people."
"Have you ever kissed a girl before?" She questioned, tightly biting her tongue as she patiently awaited my response.
I had kissed two to be exact. The first was a girl I had met in foster care named Jane. She had tried to use tongue from the get go and that was a no go for me. The second was when I was drunk at an after party during my first tour. I had never gotten her name and could hardly even remember the encounter. Lucky for me, the pictures that got leaked to the press had not.
I nodded nervously, "Yeah I have."
"Do you want to kiss me?" She asked, seeming genuinely curious.
I slowly nodded my head once more and could feel the heat returning to my cheeks.
"I want to kiss you too," she mumbled looking down at my lips absentmindedly, seemingly lost in thought for a brief minute before her eyes snapped back to mine "but I'd like to make it perfect so I think it's best we hold out a tad bit longer."
