Cassie pov

I woke up today feeling very happy, and I smiled widely when I remembered why. I was seeing my boyfriend, Noah, whom I loved so much.

He was in Australia working, and I always missed him, but on days like this, when he came to the United States to see me, I got very excited.

I got out of bed and went out of my room to have breakfast. I then saw my roommate and best friend, Kelly, eating cereal.

I live with her, even though my father is wealthy and I could afford to live on my own. My dad didn't like me moving out, but I convinced him that I was fine and that I was going to stay with my best friend from college, Kelly. He finally let me go, after a lot of convincing, and I promised not to move too far from them.

I've always been stubborn and persuasive, traits that people say I got from my dad.

Hey, Kelly, I greeted her. "Couldn't you at least for once make a decent breakfast?" I said to her.

"C'mon, girl, you know cereals are my specialty, and besides, I would be late if I don't hurry to work," she said, and I shook my head.

Kelly worked as a news reporter on a local news channel that I barely watched, but I was proud that she was doing what she loved. I also was happy working as an operations manager in my dad's company, but sometimes I wished to be an actress.

"Yeah, right, Kelly," I said sarcastically as she smiled cheerfully while I went to make myself a real breakfast.

"You look happy today," she said suddenly. "Am I not always looking happy?" I said.

"Yeah, you are, but today you look extra happy," she said, and I smiled.

"Yeah, that's because my darling is coming to the states today," I said, and did a little dance.

She snorted playfully. I then dropped the pan I was holding.

"Why can't you ever be happy for me?" I said.

"I Love you, girl, but about your boyfriend,I don't know  He seems wrong," she said.

"Well, he is not wrong, and I love him," I said. "We are going to have an expensive dinner tonight, and then guess what?" I said excitedly.

She urged me to continue.

"I am going to let him pop my cherry tonight. The plan is set, and the hotel is booked. Oh my gosh, I am so excited," I said.

"Oh my gosh, Cassie. Why haven't you guys done it yet? You've been dating for so long," she asked.

"Well, just as soon as we started dating, he got the offer to move to Australia for his job, and we didn't even have time to say a proper goodbye," I said.

"That's too bad, Cassie, but are you sure about tonight?" she asked.

"Of course. I have never been more sure about anything ever," I said. "I know I can't see myself being with someone else. I love Noah, and I hope for him to be my husband someday. You have to learn to like him. I promise he is a great guy.

"Okay, fine. Good luck tonight. I hope he never breaks your heart," she said, making me smile

. "Anyways, I have to make breakfast and get ready for work. My dad would tag me irresponsible again if I am late again," I said, and went back to making my pancakes.
