Chapter 6

Maya Pov

I can't believe what's happening. Smackle thinks Farkle is still in love with Riley. She says he's always talking about her, and is constantly daydreaming. It would break Riley's heart if she had to choose between the two. In a way, I'm the lucky one here. Wow, that never happens! I always thought good things would never happen to people like me, but I guess I'm wrong. First, Josh Matthews finally isn't scared of us dating. Then, Shawn proposes to my mom! Who knows, maybe I get a dog next. Anyways, I'm at Demolition with Riles and Smackle, and we're having a girls day out. Riley's phone rings, and her face turns on like a Christmas tree when she sees the caller. Lucas, of course. She smiles during the entire call, and her face is still lit up as we leave the store. We walk to this restaurant called La Cuisine, which is sort of a cafe style restaurant. Once we are seated, we are deciding on what to order. "So, Riley, how are you and Farkle?" Smackle asks. "Uh... great!" she replies, with a curious tone. Smackle and I let out a silent breath of relief, as we know that Riley doesn't have any feelings for Farkle. If she did, then she would ramble on about him. "How's Ranger Rick?" I ask Riley. She instantly brightens up, and says, "Great! Tomorrow we are going to see a movie, and maybe go horseback riding, its so romantic........." I quickly tune out, as I know she is going to keep talking for a long time. Happily, our food's arrival shuts Riley up, and we dig in. Once we leave, we get our nails done. Right before we walk into the salon, a cheery voice greets us. "Riley!" "Oh and Smackle, Maya!" I turn to see Farkle waving his skinny little arm in the air. Riley smiles, and walks in. Smackle runs over for a quick kiss, but I follow Riley. As he walks past the building, he perks up when he sees Riley picking out her colours. I think Smackle was right.
