I visited Riley with Eric. It was hard getting there, since I don't know how to operate my wheelchair that well. But we made it. I felt like my heart was made of glass, and someone threw a brick at it. Her skin was so pale. Machines covered nearly all space around the bed. Tubes were in her nose, mouth, and on her head. Beeps were constantly filling the air, breaking the silence in the room. I held her hand, and just sobbed. This was the first time since the accident that it really hit me, so many of my family members were hurt. That girl broke us, and I don't know why. She was a girl, we knew that. But who was she? She had a mask on, so we couldn't tell. Maybe Riley knows. We may never find out if she does or not. If she doesn't wake up, that is. I think of Lucas and Matgew, how much their lives would change if she left the world. Lucas, a single parent. Mathew, a young boy that never really knew his mother, and won't have his real one ever again. If only Riley could hear us, hear how much we n we'd her and love her. I left, leaving Eric. Once I came back to my room, I found police waiting. "Joshua Gabriel Matthews, brother to Cory and Eric Matthews, Riley's uncle?" a male officer asked. I nodded, confused. "We have information about the shooter. She apparently knew your family, from a while ago. We questioned her, and she gave no evidence or information that could lead us to a motive.  But we know who she is." "Who?" I shrieked. "Her name is-"
