Over the next couple of weeks, we decide what would be best. Hatching together a plan of action that would lead us to whatever the big thing Torchwick is planning would be, and when to execute it. Ozpin is never available for me to visit. Every time I try, there's something new. A meeting with faculty, a meeting with Ironwood, school business, or just other lame excuses. After some discussion and other things, we decide that I will be a part of the Beacon side of the plan. And depending on what response I get (or can get) from Ozpin, I go from there.
The last couple of days have been slow. Painfully slow. I rehearse the plan in my head over and over again. Going over what to say, how to say it, or what I should say. But other than the lingering crippling anxiety, everything is pretty good! Kinda boring. But good nonetheless.
Until finally. We get to the day.
Classes feel extra slow, and every single one of us watches the clock with a heavy expectation. We sit in Professor Port's class, each of us staring at the clock on our scroll or in the classroom. I couldn't even begin to tell you what he's saying or what he's been teaching.
That is, until the door opens to the room, revealing Goodwitch in her usual attire. Port almost knowingly stops his sentence before the door even opens and spins on his heels to greet Goodwitch, "Ah! A guest! I was just telling the class of-"
"Sorry, Port. I am in a hurry," Glynda cuts him off, stepping into the room a few more feet. She looks around for a moment before spotting me. "Mr. Y/N, the Headmaster would like to speak with you at once."
I feel an intense mix of emotion right then. I get up and gather my stuff quickly, the class looking on at me with a deeply curious glare. My teammates, however, look more worried that our plans will have gone completely awry. I shoot each of them a quick glance as I make my way down to Goodwitch.
As we step out of the classroom, Goodwitch closes the door behind us and takes the lead, walking down the hallways quickly and making her way to the CCT where Ozpin's office is. Ideally, I wasn't supposed to be headed this way until about an hour or two from now, but I guess it's better late than never. As we walk, I go over my rehearsed speech in my head while also trying desperately not to worry about why I'm being called there in the first place.
After a short (awkwardly quiet) walk, I find myself walking into the CCT yet again guided by Professor Goodwitch. We get to the elevator and go up to Ozpin's office rather quickly. When she said she was in a hurry to Port, I didn't think she was serious, but she's been moving rather fast this whole time. Something that sets in more and more on the ride up the elevator.
As soon as we get to Ozpin's office, Goodwitch opens the door and gestures for me to enter, which I very hesitantly do. I'm met with the familar sharp scent of liquor as I see Qrow is here yet again. Before I can even comprehend the annoyance that causes me, Goodwitch shuts the door behind me suddenly. I quickly turn to look back at the door and then back to the office, which is filled with more than just Qrow's stench.
General Ironwood is planted firmly in one seat, looking at his watch periodically as if he'll be late for something. Qrow stands about at the halfway mark of the room, off to the side leaned up against a wall, seemingly not involved in the situation at hand. Ozpin is in his chair, in his signature pose with his hands intertwined in front of his face. I gather together what I'm seeing, before snapping out of my trance-like state and clearing my throat. I take a step further into the room, "Uh, you asked to see me, Ozpin?" I ask. Instinctively glancing down at Ironwood a time or two nervously.
The Headmaster nods, and beckons to the other seat in the room, parallel to the seat Ironwood resides in, in front of his desk, "Yes, there's a few things we must discuss with you. Please, have a seat."
